Co. and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-deutsche-bank\">Deutsche Bank<\/a> AG, alleging that the banks facilitated his sex trafficking operation by maintaining a financial relationship with Epstein and ignoring red flags.<\/p>\n<p>The two lawsuits, filed in federal court in New York on Nov. 24, were brought by lawyers that have previously represented accusers of Epstein, who\u00a0died in a prison cell awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.<\/p>\n<p>The unnamed plaintiffs accuse the banks of \u201cproviding the requisite financial support for the continued operation of Epstein\u2019s international sex trafficking organization\u201d in violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), a U.S. law used to target illegal conspiracies that originally was designed to target organized crime.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEpstein\u2019s sex-trafficking venture was not possible without the assistance and complicity of a financial institution\u2014specifically, a banking institution\u2014which provided his operation with an appearance of legitimacy and special treatment to the sex-trafficking venture, thereby ensuring its continued operation and sexual abuse and sex-trafficking of young women and girls,\u201d lawyers for the anonymous plaintiff wrote in the Deutsche Bank lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>Both lawsuits seek class-action status and undisclosed damages.<\/p>\n<p>Asked to comment on the lawsuit, a Deutsche Bank spokesman told The Epoch Times in an emailed statement that \u201cWe believe this claim lacks merit and will present our arguments in court.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A spokeswoman for JPMorgan told The Epoch Times in an emailed statement that the bank \u201cwill decline comment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bradley Edwards, a lawyer at Edwards Pottinger, one of the firms bringing the suit, said in a statement <a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/6236805\/epstein-accusers-sue-jpmorgan-deutsche\/\">cited by\u00a0Time<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0\u201cEpstein and his co-conspirators could not have victimized without assistance from wealthy individuals and financial institutions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will not stop fighting for the survivors until everyone is held responsible,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<h2>Judge Orders Unsealing of Names of Epstein-Linked Individuals<\/h2>\n<p>In separate developments, a federal judge last week <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/judge-orders-unsealing-of-names-of-8-anonymous-individuals-relating-to-jeffrey-epstein_4873705.html\">ordered the unsealing<\/a> of documents featuring the real names of some of the \u201cJohn Does\u201d relating to Epstein, according to multiple reports.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Loretta Preska ruled on Nov. 18 to disclose the identities of a number of previously anonymous individuals in documents filed by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre against the convicted pedophile\u2019s associate\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-ghislaine-maxwell\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ghislaine Maxwell<\/a>\u00a0in a defamation case,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.insider.com\/judge-unseals-john-doe-identities-in-ghislaine-maxwell-litigation-2022-11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to<\/a>\u00a0Insider.<\/p>\n<p>Giuffre\u2019s civil lawsuit against Maxwell has generated a trove of documents relating to Epstein, which contain a number of redacted names, some of which Preska ordered unsealed on the premise that public interest outweighs the right to privacy.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3941407\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/virginia-giuffre-700x420-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy size-full wp-image-3941407\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/themes\/eet\/images\/white.png\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/virginia-giuffre-700x420-1.jpg\" alt=\"Epoch Times Photo\" width=\"700\" height=\"420\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3941407\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/virginia-giuffre-700x420-1.jpg\" alt=\"Epoch Times Photo\" width=\"700\" height=\"420\" \/><\/noscript><\/figcaption><\/a> Virginia Giuffre during an interview on the BBC Panorama program that aired on Dec. 2, 2019.
