That didn\u2019t catch on, so now they want to make our meat in a lab<em>. The Washington Post<\/em>\u2019s<em> <\/em>latest climate nonsense fawned over lab-grown meat to save the climate.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" class=\"image-blog_image_50_ img-fluid blog-img\" data-insert-attach=\"{\" id \/><em>The Post<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/climate-environment\/2022\/11\/18\/cop27-food-agriculture-climate\/\">propped up<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodmeat.co\/\">Good Meat<\/a>, the company that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodmeat.co\/all-news\/good-meat-cultivated-meat-on-cop27-menu\">served<\/a> its lab-grown meat to the world\u2019s elite at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/climatechange\/cop27\">U.N. COP 27 Climate Change Conference<\/a> in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[T]he company serving it vows it will soon help save the planet,\u201d read a <em>Post <\/em>story published on Friday. The paper\u2019s most recent prodding over climate change came just a week after the COP27 conference devoted a day to discussing climate change and food production.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>The Post<\/em> described the so-called \u201cmeat\u201d in what read more like advertising copy than a news article. \u201cIt was raised not on a farm but in a lab. It tastes exactly like chicken, but no chicken\u2019s life was taken to serve it up as crispy skins, spicy skewers and a grilled boneless thigh,\u201d <em>The Post <\/em>fawned. \u201cSoon there will be beef, pork and fish, too, in this quest to mass-produce edible flesh without cruelty or climate chaos.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>The Post<\/em> continued its free promo when it summarized Good Meat chief executive <a href=\"https:\/\/live.worldbank.org\/experts\/josh-tetrick\">Josh Tetrick<\/a>\u2019s \u201cpitch:\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf synthetic meat can be made affordably and in mass quantities, the implications for nourishing the world and curbing climate change are considerable,\u201d <em>The Post <\/em>wrote. \u201cRaising and feeding farm animals consumes two-thirds of the world\u2019s agricultural land and drives 15 percent of the world\u2019s greenhouse gases.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the article fails to explain how not farming animals for meat will reduce methane gas in a slaughter-free way. Common sense holds that the animals would have to somehow die in order to actually reduce the feared emissions. It also makes no mention of the lab-grown meat\u2019s nutritional value in comparison to real meat.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t the first time elites have tried to convince plebes to eat alternative proteins.<em> The New York Times<\/em> <em>Opinion<\/em> section <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/business\/joseph-vazquez\/2022\/02\/16\/slimy-yet-satisfying-nyt-opinion-celebrates-joy-eating\">posted<\/a> a video titled \u201cThe Case for Edible Insects\u201d in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/business\/joseph-vazquez\/2022\/02\/16\/slimy-yet-satisfying-nyt-opinion-celebrates-joy-eating\">February<\/a>. <em>The Times<\/em> sounded the false alarm on meat: \u201cScientists have warned that unless we make major adjustments to the kinds of food we eat and how we produce it, we have no chance of meeting our climate goals.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>The Times<\/em> also claimed that \u201creduced demand for meat, would help relieve pressure on the environment and mitigate global warming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Uber-liberal mega-billionaire <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BillGates\">Bill Gates<\/a> drew intense public ire this year for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/business\/joseph-vazquez\/2022\/02\/28\/watch-rogan-rips-obese-gates-telling-people-eat-fake-meat\">promoting<\/a> fake meats. Gates reportedly \u201cinvested in [a] range of \u2018synthetic meat\u2019 startups including Impossible Foods, Beyond Meat, Memphis Meats and Hampton Creek Foods,\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beefcentral.com\/news\/synthetic-meat-investor-bill-gates-calls-for-rich-countries-to-eat-only-synthetic-meat\/\"> according<\/a> to Australia-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beefcentral.com\/\">Beef Central<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He also helped fund a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S0140673622003117\">study<\/a> in <em>The Lance<\/em>t that coincidentally benefited Gates\u2019s investments. The<em> <\/em>study alleged that 2019 deaths traced to unprocessed red meat intake spiked an estimated 36-fold.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Conservatives are under attack<\/em><\/strong><em>.
