Each year in the United States, an estimated 58,000-80,000 children younger than 5 years old are hospitalized due to RSV infection,\u201d the CDC adds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn my 25 years of being a pediatrician, I\u2019ve never seen anything like this,\u201d pediatric infectious disease specialist Stacene Maroushek said, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kare11.com\/article\/news\/local\/healthcare-systems-raise-awareness-on-rsv\/89-bd0da48a-03ed-4038-bf0f-7d0777ff70d8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a>. \u201cI have seen families who just aren\u2019t getting a break. They have one viral illness after another. And now there\u2019s the secondary effect of ear infections and pneumonia that are prompting amoxicillin shortages.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wgrz.com\/article\/news\/health\/childrens-tylenol-medicines-short-supply-wny-buffalo-shelves\/71-2564f24c-1e4d-47ea-9c49-5d3db7cd7ea6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC Buffalo<\/a> scouted locations including some Walgreens drugstores and a local Target and found no infant and children\u2019s liquid acetaminophen and ibuprofen products.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pharmacists are reportedly running out of children\u2019s Tylenol as cases of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) surge among children in the United States.
