In emails obtained from Hunter Biden\u2019s hard drive, the company pitched itself as \u201cfocused on providing cross-border remittances.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Remittances represent a key financial aspect of mass migration \u2013 both legal and illegal \u2013 as it refers to migrants sending funds from their current country of residence back to their home country. The payments constitute a massive industry worth over $150 billion annually in the U.S. alone and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2019\/05\/22\/report-migrants-remittances-drain-150-billion-year-economy\/amp\/\">harm<\/a> America\u2019s economy, as the sizable sum leaves the country untaxed.<\/p>\n<p>Mexico consistently ranks as the top destination for outbound remittances from the U.S., and nearly 95 percent of inbound <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilsoncenter.org\/article\/infographic-remittances-mexico-reach-historic-high#:~:text=Remittances%20from%20the%20United%20States,came%20from%20the%20United%20States.\">remittances<\/a> to Mexico come from migrants living in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>ePlata has made the controversial form of payment a cornerstone of its business, highlighting how the platform can be used for \u201ccross-border remittances\u201d on the front page of its website:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cLabor moves around the globe, and when workers move so does their money. The global nature of labor often makes it difficult for someone to have a bank account in the country where they are employed. 2019 partnership with the Mexican government whereby t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eleconomista.com.mx\/finanzaspersonales\/Remesas-en-tiempos-de-contingencia-utilice-la-tecnologia-a-su-favor-20200402-0110.html\">he Office<\/a> of the Federal Prosecutor for the Consumer, which falls under the auspices of the Mexican Attorney General, selected ePlata as one of two fintech companies it endorsed for citizens to send and receive remittances.<\/p>\n<div>The head of Mexico\u2019s Consumer Protection <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/eplataofficial\/videos\/691860944554771\/?extid=NS-UNK-UNK-UNK-IOS_GK0T-GK1C\">Agency<\/a> also highlighted ePlata as one of the country\u2019s leading platforms for sending and receiving remittances during a presidential press briefing.<\/div>\n<p>Jeff Cooper, the founder of ePlata, and Hunter Biden have a long history of collaboration, including on some of the president\u2019s son\u2019s most controversial business dealings implicating Joe Biden exposed through his \u201cHard Drive From Hell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While pursuing <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/07\/01\/hunter-biden-used-joes-vp-perks-to-pursue-deal-with-carlos-slim\/amp\/\">deals<\/a> with Mexican billionaires during Joe Biden\u2019s tenure as Vice President, Cooper and Hunter Biden exploited the privileges of the office \u2013 including White House Events, trips on Air Force Two, and meetings with Joe Biden \u2013 to lure clients.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper, who has appeared in photos with Hunter, Joe, and various Mexican billionaires, even joined Hunter on a February 2016 Air Force Two flight to Mexico.<\/p>\n<figure their venture Ocho Gaming, which a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-11398463\/Joe-Biden-involved-son-Hunters-foreign-business-deals-VP-claims-whistleblower.html\">whistleblower<\/a> recently revealed that Joe Biden was involved in as a \u201csilent investor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The hard drive also reveals that as late as 2018, Hunter Biden and Cooper were still soliciting money from the Slim family with the assistance of Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpoke to my dad about \u2018Slim ask,\u2019 \u201d Hunter wrote Cooper after a visit from his father in Los Angeles. \u201cOh that sounds SO F\u2019ING GOOD\u201d replied Cooper.<\/p>\n<p>ePlata appears to still maintain\u00a0its links to Hunter Biden, appointing three individuals to its eight-person board in addition to Cooper who are linked to the president\u2019s son.<\/p>\n<p>Among the members of the advisory board is Vuk Jeremic, a\u00a0former President of the United Nations General Assembly who became a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-9622767\/amp\/Emails-reveal-Joe-Biden-DID-meet-Hunters-business-partners-VP.html\">consultant<\/a> for Chinese energy giant CEFC, which partnered with Hunter on a multi-million-dollar oil and gas deal.<\/p>\n<p>Board member Miguel Aleman Magnani was also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/news\/at-least-14-of-hunter-bidens-business-associates-met-with-joe-biden-despite-presidents-denial\/\">engaged<\/a> in business deals with Hunter Biden which eventually led to him meeting then-Vice President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have brought every single person you have ever asked me to bring to the F\u2019ing White House and the Vice President\u2019s house and the inauguration and then you go completely silent,\u201d Hunter Biden wrote in an email to Magnani, alluding to his exploitation of his father\u2019s political office on behalf of his business partners.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know what it is that I did but I\u2019d like to know why I\u2019ve delivered on every single thing you\u2019ve ever asked \u2013 and you make me feel like I\u2019ve done something to offend you,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--center ad-unit--inline\">\n<div class=\"ad-unit__inner\">\n<div class=\"ad-skeleton Partners<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Xin Wang is also on the board of ePlata, concurrently serving as a Managing Director BHR Partners, a highly controversial joint venture between an investment fund founded by Biden and Obama-era Secretary of State John Kerry\u2019s stepson and the state-owned Bank of China.<\/p>\n<p>The president\u2019s son pledged to divest of his 10 percent stake in BHR Partners in 2019, which was notoriously birthed <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2019\/10\/10\/6-facts-about-hunter-bidens-business-dealings-in-china\/\">less than two weeks after<\/a> Biden traveled to China alongside his father and then-Vice President, but\u00a0reportedly still owns <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/records-show-hunter-biden-still-controls-10-stake-in-chinese-firm-despite-leaving-its-board\">10 percent<\/a> of the fund.<\/p>\n<figure unprecedented levels of legal and illegal immigrants to enter the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>As this population grows, ostensibly ePlata\u2019s profits through more remittances being sent and received increase, too.<\/p>\n<p>ePlata\u2019s expansion \u2013 which includes collaboration with governments in countries such as Mexico \u2013 also overlaps with the agenda of groups such as the World Economic Forum (WEF) and G20 to roll out \u201cdigital identity\u201d infrastructure worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Once in effect, these systems have often laid the groundwork for China-style \u201csocial credit\u201d scoring
