Iger is returning to lead Disney as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The press released added, \u201cIger, who spent more than four decades at the Company, including 15 years as its CEO, has agreed to serve as Disney\u2019s CEO for two years, with a mandate from the Board to set the strategic direction for renewed growth and to work closely with the Board in developing a successor to lead the Company at the completion of his term. Finance\u2019s Jared Bilkre commented<\/a> on the company\u2019s report saying, \u201cWell, misses all around, at least on the top three key numbers here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He explained, \u201cSo subscribers for Disney+, that\u2019s one of the big ones. That\u2019s where the focus is\u2013 $118.1 million, that\u2019s up 1.8% quarter over quarter. But it is short by about a million and a half of what Wall Street was expecting. That exact number is $119.6 million.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdjusted EPS coming in light as well\u2013 $0.37, versus an estimate of $0.49, so off by about $0.12 right there,\u201d he continued. \u201cRevenue also missing\u2013 $18.53 billion. You\u2019re crazy. It\u2019s going to be more of the same. Everything that we\u2019ve been watching Bob Iger initiated. So don\u2019t think this s**t is going to change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also indicated he spoke to an anonymous insider. Buechler elaborated on what this insider told him, \u201cI just got off the phone with somebody who I can\u2019t tell you right now, who just told me if you think things are bad right now, wait until the next couple of years they are getting so much worse.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-block full\">\n<div class=\"video-player youtube\">[embedded content]<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Manhattan Institute fellow and the journalist who exposed much of Disney\u2019s Reimagine Tomorrow campaign and its grooming agenda, Christopher F. Rufo, claims the firing of Chapek is a \u201crebuke of woke leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He wrote on Twitter, \u201cDisney has fired CEO Bob Chapek, who pushed critical race theory and gender ideology in the company\u2019s programming and employee training.
