Raphael Warnock&#8217;s (D., Ga.) church, even though he paid his past-due rent.<\/p>\n<p>Columbia Residential, which manages Ebenezer Baptist Church\u2019s low-income apartment building in Atlanta, served a <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Phillip-White-September-2022-Redacted.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dispossessory notice<\/a> to Phillip White on Sept. 20 for $192 in unpaid rent. White, an African-American Marine veteran who served two combat tours in Vietnam, provided money order receipts to the <em>Free Beacon <\/em>on Thursday showing he made a $542 rent payment on Nov. 2. But Columbia Residential hasn\u2019t filed a motion to dismiss its case, indicating it still intends to evict White.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not clear why Columbia&#8217;s dispossessory notice against White remains open following his Nov. 2 rent payment. Warnock <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/elections\/under-scrutiny-warnock-claims-without-evidence-walker-is-exploiting-the-people-facing-evictions-from-ebenezer-baptist-churchs-low-income-apartment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>\u00a0in October that no one had been evicted from his church\u2019s property, a claim undermined by court records showing that authorities have\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/August-2020-Writ-of-Possession-Redacted.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">carried<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/February-2022-Writ-of-Possession-Redacted.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">out<\/a> two court-ordered writs of possession against residents since the start of the pandemic.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>White said he expects the building to resume evictions after Warnock is clear of his Dec. 6 runoff election against Republican Herschel Walker.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He said there would be no evictions,&#8221; White, 69, said. &#8220;He knew that was a lie. What he was really saying is there would be no evictions until after the election.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Walker has repeatedly dodged questions about evictions from his church\u2019s apartment building since the <em>Free Beacon<\/em> broke the <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/elections\/under-scrutiny-warnock-claims-without-evidence-walker-is-exploiting-the-people-facing-evictions-from-ebenezer-baptist-churchs-low-income-apartment\/\">story<\/a> in October. On Thursday, Warnock <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/natalie_allison\/status\/1593421556633534464\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">refused<\/a> to tell reporters if he thought the eviction notices were wrongly sent, or if he had even looked into the issue. Earlier, on Sunday, the Democrat <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/vicious-and-venomous-raphael-warnock-says-his-critics-are-attacking-jesus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">railed<\/a> against the &#8220;vicious and venomous&#8221; critics of his church, saying they &#8220;attack the church of Jesus Christ.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ebenezer Baptist Church, which pays Warnock a $7,417 monthly housing allowance, owns 99 percent of the <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/burtal-murders-rotting-corpses-broken-elevators-inside-the-apartments-owned-by-raphael-warnocks-church\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dilapidated<\/a> Columbia Tower at MLK Village. The church <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/warnock-property-management-company-evictions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tapped<\/a> Columbia Residential, one of the nation\u2019s leading eviction filers, to manage the property on its behalf.<\/p>\n<p>Walker launched an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cCJo7-n5UoU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attack ad<\/a> on Friday accusing Warnock of preying on the poor while lavishing himself with lucrative benefits from his church.
