Ron DeSantis (R) announced on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Economic data <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flgov.com\/2022\/11\/18\/florida-creates-jobs-for-the-30th-consecutive-month-shows-economic-resiliency-despite-impacts-of-hurricane-ian\/\">shows<\/a> that the Sunshine State is remaining strong as it moves into the holiday season. According to the October 2022 economic data report, \u201cFlorida\u2019s labor force grew by 36,000 and Florida\u2019s private sector added 35,000 jobs,\u201d marking the 30th consecutive month for growth.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p3\">According to the governor\u2019s office:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p3\">Over the month, Florida\u2019s labor force grew by 36,000, while the national labor force shrank, and Florida\u2019s private sector employment growth was double the national growth rate. Florida\u2019s private sector employment grew by 5.6 percent over the year in October 2022 (+447,800 jobs), faster than the national growth rate of 4.0 percent.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Further, Florida\u2019s unemployment rate stands at 2.7 percent \u2014 a full point lower than the national unemployment rate of 3.7 percent. Notably, the Sunshine State\u2019s unemployment rate has remained lower than the national unemployment rate for nearly two years, or 23 months.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>DeSantis\u2019s office added:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">Between October 2021 and October 2022, Florida\u2019s labor force grew by 334,000, or 3.2 percent. This was faster than the national labor force growth rate of 1.9 percent over the year.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Between October 2021 and October 2022, total private sector employment grew by 447,800 jobs (+5.6 percent), faster than the national private sector job growth rate of 4.0 percent over the year.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">As of October 2022, Florida employers have added jobs for 30 consecutive months since May 2020. Florida\u2019s private sector over-the-year job growth rate has exceeded the nation\u2019s for 19 consecutive months since April 2021.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cFlorida\u2019s economic resiliency is unmatched in the country \u2013 no other state could withstand the direct impact of a Category 4 hurricane and continue to grow jobs in the same month,\u201d DeSantis said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have made record investments in our infrastructure and workforce while building a record budget surplus and providing record tax reduction for Floridians,\u201d he added, announcing the news on social media as well:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"a8d-pre twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Even with Hurricane Ian hitting our state, October marked the 30th consecutive month of job growth in Florida. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/uQkr8ANege\">pic.twitter.com\/uQkr8ANege<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ron DeSantis (@GovRonDeSantis) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GovRonDeSantis\/status\/1593624053658566658?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 18, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>The positive economic outlook in the Florida comes as Americans continue to weather the storm in President Joe Biden\u2019s America, where inflation remains high as the holidays approach. Consumer prices are <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GovRonDeSantis\/status\/1593624053658566658\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on the rise<\/a>, and basic Thanksgiving staples have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/11\/10\/the-bidenflation-thanksgiving-bust-prices-soar-for-turkeys-potatoes-biscuits-butter-and-gravy\/\">soared<\/a>.
