Sherrod Brown is considered one of the most vulnerable Democratic Senators up for election in 2024, and Republicans already have their eyes on unseating the long-time Ohio Democrat.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">Republican state Sen. Matt Dolan \u2014 who was a candidate in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/elections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GOP U.S. Senate primary last May<\/a> \u2014 is seriously considering a re-run for the Senate nomination in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In a letter he sent to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/us-regions\/midwest\/ohio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ohio GOP county chairs<\/a> that was obtained by Fox News, Dolan writes &#8220;the time we have for introspection is limited. Before we know it, 2024 will be upon us and we have work to do. We must\u2026 ensure Joe Biden and Sherrod Brown are sent packing.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dolan sent the email after receiving encouragement in recent days from party leaders and activists to consider a second straight Senate run, sources told Fox News Digital.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am still deciding, and I want to focus on what it&#8217;s going to take to win,&#8221; said Dolan in an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, adding he is on no timeline at the moment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/trump-launches-2024-bid-potential-leading-nomination-rivals-gather-major-gop-cattle-call\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>AS TRUMP LAUNCHES 2024 BID, POTENTIAL LEADING NOMINATION RIVALS GATHER AT A MAJOR GOP CATTLE CALL<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"image-ct inline\">\n<div class=\"m\"><source media=\"(max-width: 767px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 767px) and (max-width: 1023px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 1024px) and (max-width: 1279px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 1280px)\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/640\/320\/Untitled-design-25.jpg?ve=1&#038;tl=1\" alt=\"State Sen. Do I have the fire in the belly to run and serve? And, can I make a difference? Once those three boxes are checked, then I will decide,&#8221; Dolan told Fox.<\/p>\n<p>Dolan expressed his frustrations with his party&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/politics\/senate\/republicans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">inability to regain a Senate majority<\/a> in the midterms. He surged near the end of the primary race, winning 23.3% of the vote, just behind Josh Mandel at 23.9%.<strong> Sen.-elect JD Vance<\/strong> won the primary (thanks to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/person\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">late endorsement from Trump<\/a>) with 32.2% of the vote.<\/p>\n<p>Brown, who is seeking his fourth term in 2024, is the only Democrat to win statewide in Ohio in the past decade. Brown said earlier this week that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/democratic-senator-key-battleground-state-announces-2024-reelection-campaign\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he intends to seek re-election<\/a>, and he\u2019ll likely be heavily targeted by Republicans.
