It\u2019s dangerous out here. It\u2019s wild.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">\u201cWhen you get out of the car,\u201d\u00a0Randy Stevens of Nicetown said, \u201clock the door. When you are in your car, lock the door.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The <em>Inquirer<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/opinion\/commentary\/philadelphia-mayor-jim-kenney-gun-violence-20221114.html\">notes<\/a> there has been\u00a0an \u201cunprecedented number of shootings and homicides in the city,\u201d but Mayor Kenney, who has just over a year left as mayor, \u201cdefends his record and says that Philadelphia is \u2018on the rise.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kenney <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PhillyMayor\/status\/1592154955653476352\">tweeted<\/a>: \u201cPhiladelphia is a city whose future is worth fighting for. This is why I\u2019m committed to working every day until the end of my term to reduce gun violence in Philadelphia. We need to do more.
