Greg Abbott (R-TX) confirmed that the bus would be sent to Philly to help share the burden of the ongoing border crisis.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The first group of migrants bused to sanctuary city Philadelphia from Texas has departed.<\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia is now a drop-off location for Texas&#8217; busing strategy combatting Pres. Greg Abbott (@GovAbbott) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GovAbbott\/status\/1592608750891716608?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">November 15, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">For months, Abbott has sent illegal immigrants on buses to Democrat-led \u201csanctuary\u201d cities, like Washington, D.C. and New York City to alleviate the overcrowded towns along the southwest border.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/greg-abbott-texas-migrant-bus-philadelphia-girl-dehydration-fever\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS News<\/a>, one of the immigrants was a 10-year-old girl who was taken to the hospital due to dehydration and fever. Reportedly, some of the individuals came from Colombia, Dominican Republic and Cuba.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">A bus of 38 migrants has arrived from Texas in Philadelphia this morning. The group was met by volunteers and city workers with coats, blankets, and hot chocolate. The destinations include New Jersey and Ohio.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">CBS News noted that Texas officials have sent 13,000 immigrants to Washington. D.C., New York City and Chicago.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Townhall <a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/rebeccadowns\/2022\/08\/23\/pentagon-once-more-denies-dc-mayor-bowsers-request-for-national-guard-assistance-n2612145\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">covered<\/a> how Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, on two occasions, asked the Pentagon to send in the National Guard to help process the migrants. The Pentagon denied her requests.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In an interview, Bowser then said that D.C. is \u201cnot Texas\u201d and cannot accommodate the migrants.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Democrat Washington, D.C.
