He said, however, that he would still fight for Pennsylvanians and get &#8220;better and better&#8221; every day. <\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<p>The GOP used Fetterman&#8217;s health problems, slow responses, and <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/fetterman-slurs-words-in-interview-as-questions-about-his-health-continue\">need for closed captioning<\/a> at interviews and <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/fetterman-stroke-recovery-mars-debate-oz\">debates<\/a> to argue that he should not be elected. However, Fetterman beat Republican opponent Mehmet Oz, a doctor who was endorsed by former President Donald Trump. He was <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/lake-joins-maga-supporters-bombing-races-midterms\">one of many Trump-endorsed Senate candidates<\/a> to lose in the 2022 midterm elections. <\/p>\n<p>Fetterman&#8217;s success in flipping Pennsylvania blue proved to be a significant victory for Democrats, who were fighting tooth and nail to keep a majority in the Senate. With wins in Nevada and Arizona, Democrats will keep their Senate majority for the next Congress session.
