Republicans have won back control of the House of Representatives and finally have a shot at curbing the unconstitutional actions of the Biden regime.<\/p>\n<p>GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy already released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.republicanleader.gov\/commitment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">an agenda<\/a> he thinks Republicans should execute come 2023, but his legislative desires for a red House are too innocuous and unlikely to survive a Democrat Senate and presidency anyway. <\/p>\n<p>Because of limitations to legislative ability, Republicans must use their power correctly and wisely. They must follow through on the promises they made to voters and also punish the Biden bureaucracy and its Democrat allies for creating endless crises. <\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s everything the GOP should do now that it controls the House.<\/p>\n<p> Impeach Merrick Garland <\/p>\n<p>Republicans\u2019 top priority going into the 2023 legislative year should be impeaching Attorney General Merrick Garland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverything Garland has done as attorney general has been mendaciously political, from smearing parents who speak out at school board meetings as \u2018domestic terrorists\u2019 to targeting peaceful anti-abortion activists\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/06\/if-peacefully-protesting-abortion-is-criminal-but-firebombing-pregnancy-centers-is-not-there-is-no-rule-of-law\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">while doing nothing<\/a>\u00a0about actual pro-abortion vigilantes attacking churches and crisis pregnancy centers,\u201d The Federalist\u2019s John Daniel Davidson <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/07\/the-first-thing-republicans-should-do-when-they-take-back-congress-is-impeach-merrick-garland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> in October. \u201cHe has to be stopped, and a determined GOP-led Congress is the only thing that can stop him.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>McCarthy recently <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/20\/mccarthy-in-the-middle-how-the-last-young-gun-sought-to-rebuild-conservative-trust-as-pelosi-went-scorched-earth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told<\/a> The Federalist that the GOP would not \u201cstart with\u201d impeachment, but after Garland\u2019s double standard of justice once again manifested itself in the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/19\/the-fbi-has-indicted-22-pro-life-protesters-and-zero-pregnancy-center-firebombers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">prosecution of peaceful pro-life protesters<\/a> \u2014 not to mention that Garland \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/11\/attorney-general-merrick-garland-admits-he-personally-approved-fbi-raid-on-trumps-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">personally approved<\/a>\u201d the FBI raid on the home of the former president whose election <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/09\/conflict-of-interest-much-garland-oversees-raid-on-president-who-denied-him-scotus-seat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">denied him a seat on the Supreme Court<\/a> \u2014 McCarthy would be prudent to rethink his resolution.<\/p>\n<p> Defund the FBI <\/p>\n<p>Garland may be guilty of politicizing and weaponizing power against the Americans he swore to protect, but it was the FBI that zealously carried out his dirty work.<\/p>\n<p>For years, the FBI has swerved any accountability for its <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/19\/think-the-fbi-deserves-the-benefit-of-the-doubt-this-laundry-list-of-corruption-should-make-you-think-again\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">laundry list of corruption<\/a>. Seeing as how that corruption has, especially in the last six years, disproportionately affected opponents of a Democrat regime, it is in Republicans\u2019 best interest to dismantle the agency.<\/p>\n<p>Any of the FBI\u2019s necessary duties, such as child sexual abuse cases, which <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/20\/whistleblower-fbi-is-dropping-child-sexual-abuse-investigations-to-pursue-j6-witch-hunt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">were sidelined<\/a> for partisan missions, should be redistributed to more responsible arms of government.<\/p>\n<p> Disband the Sham J6 Committee <\/p>\n<p>The Jan. 6 Committee is a political show trial created to demonize Donald Trump, his supporters, and Republicans who care about election integrity while also boosting Democrats <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/19\/democrats-admit-jan-6-committee-is-all-about-midterms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ahead of the midterms<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now that the GOP controls the House, it\u2019s time to disband the committee, which always defied House standards, and devote the time spent on theatrical displays of partisanship to more important things. <\/p>\n<p>That includes examining the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/16\/j6-committee-ignores-capitol-security-failures-in-hearing-focused-on-mike-pence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Capitol security failures<\/a> that allowed unauthorized people into the building in the first place.<\/p>\n<p> Probe the Biden Family Business <\/p>\n<p>For years now, Republicans Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson have led investigations into Hunter Biden\u2019s sketchy overseas business dealings.
