His doctor, however, said it may take longer than that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe seems to be a gentleman who really doesn\u2019t want to make a big deal of this,\u201d Grossman told reporters, reports Fox News. \u201cHe wants to get back to work, that\u2019s what he does. I had to tell him that he needs to step back a bit and that these things take time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Grossman said Leno had already undergone one surgery, and would need another later this week. He said Leno may have suffered second or third-degree burns, describing the situation as fluid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBurn injuries are progressive and dynamic,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s hard to predict what the final outcome will be at this stage in the game.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2022\/11\/15\/jay-leno-car-fire-friend-saves-life-flames-burns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a>\u00a0from the entertainment website TMZ,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-jay-leno-hospitalized-with-very-serious-injuries-after-car-erupts-into-flames\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leno<\/a> was working to repair a clogged fuel line when a leak caused gasoline to spray over his face and hands.
