href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/film\/news\/disney-layoffs-hiring-freeze-bob-chapek-1235430840\/\">Variety<\/a>, the House of Mouse will begin taking substantial measures to offset the company\u2019s recent and abysmal <a href=\"https:\/\/thewaltdisneycompany.com\/app\/uploads\/2022\/11\/q4-fy22-earnings.pdf\">Q4 financial losses<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_181900\" such properties as\u00a0Star Wars and Marvel.<\/p>\n<p>This year, production spending for the Marvel Cinematic Universe hit an all-time high with both both <em>Thor: Love &#038; Thunder<\/em> as well as <em>Black Panther: Wakanda Forever<\/em> hitting $250 million in costs before marketing \u2013 the highest such budgets for a non-Avengers film in the entire franchise.<\/p>\n<div while Disney had a much better year at the box office compared to 2021, none of their three Marvel Cinematic Universe releases for 2022 managed \u2013 the aforementioned two as well as <em>Doctor cost-cutting measures comes immediately after the company posted a poor quarterly earnings result for Q4 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the Mouse reported that the quarter starting in July and ending on Oct. 1st had seen the company lose $1.47 billion on their streaming endeavors \u2013 roughly $800 million more than they had lost in the same period last year.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_183748\"
