Americans want stability and sobriety. \u2026 [They] are sick of crazy right now. \u2026 If you pick bad candidates you are going to lose.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>This might have been a somewhat plausible argument if Pennsylvanians hadn\u2019t elected a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/27\/as-a-stroke-survivor-i-recognize-fettermans-symptoms-hes-incapable-of-being-a-senator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mentally handicapped<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meadvilletribune.com\/news\/fetterman-s-parents-gave-him-money-into-his-40s-republicans-say-that-undercuts-his-blue\/article_55a88a06-1432-11ed-bc6a-1348ce288918.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">thumb-sucking<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/11\/08\/hoodie-wearing-john-fetterman-snubs-reporters-as-he-casts-vote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hooded<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/26\/allowing-john-fetterman-to-run-for-senate-is-just-abusive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vegetable<\/a> as their senator who enjoys <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/10-convicted-first-degree-murderers-john-fetterman-helped-release-prison\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">releasing convicted murderers<\/a> out onto the streets and wants to empty prisons <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/john-fetterman-would-turn-the-united-states-into-philadelphia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">by more than 30<\/a> percent. This, as voters listed crime <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/fact-tank\/2022\/10\/31\/violent-crime-is-a-key-midterm-voting-issue-but-what-does-the-data-say\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">as one of the most important issues<\/a> for the midterm elections. Not to mention Fetterman is as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsmax.com\/john-gizzi\/fetterman-oz-senate\/2022\/09\/25\/id\/1088924\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">radically far-left<\/a> as they come. <\/p>\n<p>But sure, Pennsylvanians chose Fetterman over GOP candidate Mehmet Oz because Oz just wasn\u2019t a \u201cquality\u201d candidate (despite having celebrity name recognition, Trump\u2019s endorsement, a baseline IQ, and the sense to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/politics\/election\/mehmet-oz-republican-senate-pennsylvania-2022-election-20221018.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">push<\/a> for U.S. energy dominance). Clearly the GOP\u2019s failure to run quality candidates must also be why residents of the Keystone State <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/pennsylvania-state-representative-reelected-despite-being-dead\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reelected a dead man<\/a> to the Pennsylvania state house. <\/p>\n<p>But what happens when the GOP runs \u201cquality\u201d candidates? They lose, too. Remember when Republicans ran Mitt Romney as their 2012 GOP presidential candidate? Romney was the textbook candidate at that time. Despite that, then-Vice President Joe Biden told black Americans the GOP nominee would \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/biden-tells-african-american-audience-gop-ticket-would-put-them-back-in-chains\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">put y\u2019all back in chains<\/a>\u201d and then-President Obama <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usnews.com\/opinion\/blogs\/robert-schlesinger\/2013\/01\/04\/the-final-2012-presidential-election-results-arent-close\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cruised to a second presidential term<\/a> (while averaging a <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/150230\/obama-job-approval-average-slides-new-low-11th-quarter.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">low approval rating<\/a>). <\/p>\n<p>The argument about running \u201cquality\u201d candidates doesn\u2019t hold water because it\u2019s not true for Democrats. Democratic voters will vote for anyone \u2014 even a certifiable <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/15\/nbc-news-tries-to-censor-viral-videos-highlighting-john-fettermans-slurred-speech\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tree stump<\/a> \u2014 who has a \u201cD\u201d next to his name. The Pennsylvania Senate race was never about who was the best candidate between Oz and Fetterman; it was about how skilled the Democrat Party machine is in driving out the Democratic vote. From outspending Republicans 2 to 1 (outside spenders <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/republicans-outspending-democrats-record-2022-midterms-price-tag-shows\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dropped<\/a> $30,456,638 on Fetterman and his party, compared to $12,375,383 on Oz and the GOP), to engaging in massive, Democrat-targeted get-out-the-vote efforts, and ballot harvesting and curing (thanks to no-excuse mail-in ballots and a month of early voting), the Democratic Party machine is what wins votes for their candidates, no matter if they\u2019re Jesus Christ or Benito Mussolini.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">All this Trump v. DeSantis talk is juicy, but under the hood, there&#8217;s a far more pressing issue: Democrats fortified their COVID mass mail-in-voting apparatus. It&#8217;s a vote-harvesting juggernaut that will continue to produce competitive results no matter the GOP nominee.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Election Wizard \ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddf8 (@ElectionWiz) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ElectionWiz\/status\/1590383503006662656?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 9, 2022<\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>Could the GOP have worked more on forming a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MattRinaldiTX\/status\/1590392447028559875?s=20&#038;t=uhznabgH2XgvErXuKMY3Rg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">clear message<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NoJesuitTricks\/status\/1590415323437862912?s=20&#038;t=uhznabgH2XgvErXuKMY3Rg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">positive vision<\/a> for the country that would\u2019ve inspired more voters to come to the polls? Yes. But that still wouldn\u2019t have been enough to push Republicans over the top.
