It\u2019s not only tiresome, it\u2019s destructive.<\/p>\n<p>One-party rule has driven the\u00a0Empire State into the ditch, and now it can\u2019t get out.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t blame Lee Zeldin. The Long Island congressman focused like a hawk on the bread-<br \/>and-butter issues, especially crime. He outworked Gov. What\u2019s the agenda, besides all abortion, all the time?<\/p>\n<p>The tragedy isn\u2019t that she won, but that she won without addressing any of the major problems, let alone vowing to do something about them. She has no mandate except not to be Andrew Cuomo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/11\/09\/nick-lalota-wins-to-keep-lee-zeldin-congressional-seat-in-gop-hands\/\">Zeldin, like Republicans nationally<\/a>, had the wind at his back. President Biden is a failure and the policies he and the Dem-led Congress force-fed the country are directly responsible for the mess the nation faces.<\/p>\n<p>Crime, inflation, the sinking economy, the open southern border, a perception in the world<br \/>that America is a weak and unsteady ally and adversary. But the Dems\u2019 registration advantage of more than 2 to 1 proved insurmountable.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, that gap has widened considerably since Pataki\u2019s 2002 victory, a sign that a robust two-party system will remain elusive here, perhaps for years to come.<\/p>\n<p>For her part, the accidental governor never quite got the hang of the solo act. As polls showed Zeldin closing in on her, party bosses surrounded her with political star quality, such as the Clintons <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/10\/29\/see-no-evil-on-joe-bidens-china-links\/\">and even Biden himself,<\/a> to attract crowds and create energy.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/11\/hochul-win-new-york-future-decline-09.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/hochul-win-new-york-future-decline-09.jpg\" alt=\"Gov.
