This has some fans wondering why it keeps getting passed over when it comes to award nominations. So far, the series has only earned one Emmy nomination for production design in 2021 and no Golden Globe nominations at all.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Many speculate it\u2019s because the series is a Western drama that\u2019s way less liberal than other contemporary shows. As Meghan McCain previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-show-isnt-woke-meghan-mccain-explains-yellowstone-becoming-a-smash-success\">observed<\/a>, \u201cThe show isn\u2019t woke, it isn\u2019t trying to lecture anyone about everything that is wrong with our culture,\u201d she shared in a review. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t portray the elitist perspective of coastal television writers and where they think America should be going.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The cast spoke with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/tvshowbiz\/article-11403805\/Yellowstone-Cast-addresses-repeated-awards-snubs.html\">The Daily Mail<\/a> about their feelings on the subject.<\/p>\n<p>Actor Wes Bentley, who plays Jamie Dutton in the series, told the publication, \u201cI personally don\u2019t think awards validate anything. It\u2019s an honor, as they say, but as far as it saying whether we are doing something good or not, that\u2019s not what that is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany, many shows don\u2019t get that recognition that deserve it, and many do get it that don\u2019t deserve it,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt\u2019s just the matter of opinion of each particular academy. I know we are a success because the people are watching it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gil Birmingham, who plays tribal chairman Thomas Rainwater on the show, agreed with that sentiment. \u201cHollywood is a fickle beast,\u201d he said. \u201cI think that it\u2019s more important that we have captured the hearts and minds of the audience and our fans.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Actor Jefferson White, who plays Jimmy Hurdstrom on the show, told The Daily Mail that while awards are important to some extent, they aren\u2019t the most crucial mark of a quality series.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope this season does get awards because I love these actors, and I think they are doing amazing work,\u201d he said. \u201cI hope that other people recognize that, but also it really is true that the fans\u2019 response to it is the recognition that these actors deserve, and we are so lucky to have that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Season 5 of \u201cYellowstone\u201d premieres Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The cast of \u201cYellowstone\u201d had some thoughts about being constantly snubbed during major award ceremonies despite the show\u2019s massive popularity with fans.
