What can be compared, though, is the margin of victory.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, Trump won the state by 3.3 points or 371,686 votes. DeSantis won the state last night by 19.4 points or 1,507,081 votes<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis won 62 of Florida\u2019s 67 counties, including 59 counties by double digits. DeSantis won Miami-Dade County, the largest county in the state and a Democrat stronghold, by 11 points. He won Palm Beach County, the third largest county in the state and another Democrat stronghold, by three points.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with NewsNation, Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/KIRg57nB_JE?t=13\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> that DeSantis should be more gracious to him because Trump won him his primary race for governor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got him the nomination. He didn\u2019t get it. I got it,\u201d Trump barked. \u201cAnd I thought that he could have been more gracious, but that\u2019s up to him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/trump-launches-attack-on-ron-desantis-ahead-of-midterm-election-takes-swipe-at-ted-cruz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">repeatedly<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/trump-attacks-desantis-again-ill-release-things-about-him-that-wont-be-very-flattering-if-he-runs-in-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attacked<\/a>\u00a0the Florida governor in the days leading up to the election and even\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-trump-celebrates-republicans-losing-key-u-s-senate-race\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">celebrated<\/a>\u00a0when a Republican candidate lost in a key U.S. Senate race that could end up determining which party controls the U.S. Senate.<\/p>\n<p>In the same interview with NewsNation, Trump said that he should be given all the credit for Republicans candidates who won their races in the midterm elections and that he should not be blamed at all if they lost.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, I think if they win, I should get all the credit. And if they lose, I should not be blamed at all, okay?\u201d Trump said. \u201cBut it\u2019ll probably be just the opposite.
