Here\u2019s What They Do."},"content":{"rendered":"<aside class=\"mashsb-container mashsb-main mashsb-stretched\"><div class=\"mashsb-box\"><div class=\"mashsb-count mash-medium\" style=\"&quot;\"><div class=\"counts mashsbcount\">18<\/div><span class=\"mashsb-sharetext\">SHARES<\/span><\/div><div class=\"mashsb-buttons\"><a class=\"mashicon-facebook mash-medium mash-nomargin mashsb-noshadow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.conservativenewsdaily.net%2Fbreaking-news%2Fflorida-gets-voting-results-fast-heres-what-they-do%2F\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"icon\"><\/span><span class=\"text\">Facebook<\/span><\/a><a class=\"mashicon-twitter mash-medium mash-nomargin mashsb-noshadow\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/intent\/tweet?text=&amp;url=https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/?p=1732188&amp;via=ConservNewsDly\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"icon\"><\/span><span class=\"text\">Twitter<\/span><\/a><a class=\"mashicon-subscribe mash-medium mash-nomargin mashsb-noshadow\" href=\"#\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"icon\"><\/span><span class=\"text\">Subscribe<\/span><\/a><div class=\"onoffswitch2 mash-medium mashsb-noshadow\" style=\"display:none\"><\/div><\/div>\n            <\/div>\n                <div style=\"clear:both\"><\/div><\/aside>\n            <!-- Share buttons by mashshare.net - Version: 4.0.47--><p>While criticism has mounted against various states for their lassitude in reporting election results, the state of Florida has been lauded for its speed and efficiency in delivering the news of the results.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the reasons Florida has promptly and swiftly calibrated the results of elections include election officials processing mail ballots three weeks before the election; as opposed to a state such as Pennsylvania which only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncsl.org\/research\/elections-and-campaigns\/vopp-table-16-when-absentee-mail-ballot-processing-and-counting-can-begin.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">permits<\/a> counting those ballots on Election Day; the state having counted mail ballots for years, so the process is familiar; and\u00a0domestic mail ballots in Florida having a deadline of 7 p.m. on Election Day with their disqualification if they arrive after that, as opposed to states where mail ballots can be considered legitimate if they are received up to a week after the election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe county canvassing board may begin the canvassing of vote-by-mail ballots at 7 a.m. on the 22nd day before the election, but not later than noon on the day following the election,\u201d Florida law <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsenate.gov\/laws\/statutes\/2020\/101.68\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">states<\/a>. \u201cIn addition, for any county using electronic tabulating equipment, the processing of vote-by-mail ballots through such tabulating equipment may begin at 7 a.m. on the 22nd day before the election.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s a testament to the state\u2019s performance that you see chaos unfolding in some of these other battleground states, where the votes may not be counted for days, where one state isn\u2019t counting anything today, there just going to go back tomorrow; that people are actually looking at Florida and asking the question: \u2018Why can\u2019t these states be more like Florida?\u2019\u201d Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis stated after the November 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFlorida was able to handle 11 million ballots, a combination of in-person early voting, vote-by mail, Election day, process then in a timely way, tabulate them and report them. And these other states had the opportunity to do that; they haven\u2019t done it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe way Florida did it, I think, inspires confidence; I think that\u2019s how elections should be run; and I think that if it\u2019s something that you want to do it that way, it requires you to take action; it requires you to put effort into it, but I think it\u2019s worth it,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would note that we\u2019re one of the few states in the country where you can follow the number of people that are voting in real time.
