Voters backed proposals to enshrine abortion rights into law, while simultaneously striking down efforts by conservatives to restrict the practice.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Democracy wasn\u2019t on the ballot, but abortion was, and it seems that the democracy has spoken in favor of abortion,&#8221; said Adrian Vermuele, a conservative legal scholar at Harvard University. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/michigan-voters-pass-measure-protecting-abortion-rights-other-pregnancy-related-decisions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">In Michigan, voters passed a ballot<\/a> initiative creating a right to abortion within the state&#8217;s constitution.
