He has accused Bennet of being in line with President Joe Biden\u2019s policies that have led the economy to its current weakened state.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Some considered the Colorado race as one that could be successful for Republicans. Former Republican Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie said that the Colorado Senate seat would be an upset in favor of Republicans.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThe other upset and surprise you\u2019re going to see I think on Tuesday night is Joe O\u2019Dea, the Republican candidate for United States Senate in Colorado, is going to beat Michael Bennet. And that\u2019s going to be a huge surprise,\u201d Christie <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/3722274-chris-christie-predicts-huge-surprise-in-colorado-senate-race\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> on ABC\u2019s \u201cThis Week\u201d Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cHe flat-out said that he believes that\u00a0Joe Biden\u00a0was the legitimately elected president of the United States and had Trump attack him,\u201d Christie said. \u201cAnd in Colorado, he is driving Michael Bennet to distraction. He\u2019s going to win the race.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Bennet has consistently been ahead in the polls, and the Cook Political Report had the race as \u201clean Democrat.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">During a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/colorado-senate-debate-explodes-bennet-tells-odea-youre-liar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">debate<\/a> between the two, Bennet said O\u2019Dea was a \u201cliar.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cJoe, you know that your assertion that I\u2019ve only passed one bill in the time I\u2019ve been in the Senate \u2014 you\u2019ve said it over and over again, it\u2019s been fact-checked as false over and over again, you\u2019re running a TV ad saying it over and over again,\u201d Bennet said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cTell me what that means to you,\u201d Bennet said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cIt just goes to your effectiveness. You\u2019re ineffective,\u201d O\u2019Dea answered.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cYou\u2019re a liar, Joe,\u201d Bennet said after O\u2019Dea reiterated that the incumbent senator is not effective. \u201cYou\u2019re a liar, Joe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">O\u2019Dea also criticized the lack of action being taken at the border. He recently visited the southern border between Mexico and the United States, saying that the migrant crisis is \u201coverwhelming\u201d officials.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">He <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/colorado-senate-candidate-joe-odea-border-visit-describes-overwhelming-migrant-crisis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pointed<\/a> out how law enforcement has been consistent in what they have said about the border situation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThey all have the same consistent message. They\u2019re overwhelmed.
