The Act requires notice of a layoff in advance if more than 50 percent of the workforce is laid off.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It was revealed on <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/breaking-elon-musk-will-start-laying-off-twitter-employees-on-friday\">Thursday<\/a> that Musk would be laying off many of the nearly 7,500 staff members. A letter stated that employees were to go home and not return to the office on Friday as cuts proceeded.
