After backlash ensued, Irving tweeted<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KyrieIrving\/status\/1586419512538451968?s=20&#038;t=-Nt-1Ybv3Hc97smmLHDUOQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">,<\/a> \u201cThe \u2018Anti-Semitic\u2019 label that is being pushed on me is not justified and does not reflect the reality or truth I live in everyday,\u201d and deleted the original tweet, but didn\u2019t apologize.<\/p>\n<p>On October 28, Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai posted a statement in which he said, \u201cI\u2019m disappointed that Kyrie appears to support a film based on a book full of anti-semitic disinformation. I want to sit down and make sure he understands this is hurtful to all of us, and as a man of faith, it is wrong to promote hate based on race, ethnicity or religion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the Nets\u2019 game on October 29, Irving was asked at a press conference about his \u201cpromotion\u201d of the movie through his tweet. He responded, \u201cWill you please stop calling it a promotion? What am I promoting?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou put it out on your platform,\u201d the reporter suggested.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI put it out there just like you put things out there, right?\u2019 Irving declared. \u201cLet\u2019s move on.
