PATRIOTS: \u2018HE\u2019S OUR QUARTERBACK\u2019<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But in a &#8220;Fox NFL Sunday&#8221; segment in September, Bradshaw was visibly out of breath, prompting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/sports\/nfl\/pittsburgh-steelers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>four-time Super Bowl champion<\/u><\/a> to disclose his battle with cancer the following week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I didn\u2019t talk about it because I didn\u2019t want pity,&#8221; Bradshaw said in an interview on NBC\u2019s Today Show.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/sports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I think the perception around America with all the millions of people is, \u2018Aw, look at him. Bless his heart. He has cancer. Well, my husband died of cancer.\u2019 I didn\u2019t want that. If I stay, I\u2019m OK,'&#8221; Bradshaw said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But the second diagnosis, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/health\/cancer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the rare skin cancer<\/a> found in March, got his attention.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bradshaw\u2019s wife, Tammy, revealed that, as a former radiation therapist, she understood the severity of the tumor found in her husband&#8217;s neck.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/sports\/commanders-dan-synder-hires-bank-in-first-step-towards-possible-team-sale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>COMMANDERS\u2019 DAN SYNDER HIRES BANK IN FIRST STEP TOWARD POSSIBLE TEAM SALE<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I knew what the outcomes could be. I can\u2019t imagine not holding her hand when we take off on a plane or when we snuggle up when we\u2019re in bed together,&#8221; Bradshaw said about his wife. &#8220;Or when she\u2019s sitting over there with our sick puppy and I look at her, and she doesn\u2019t know I\u2019m looking at her.
