The agencies are also <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/20\/federal-court-orders-doj-release-docs-on-bidens-takeover-of-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">allowed<\/a> to work with left-wing get-out-the-vote groups.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/thefga.org\/fga-v-doj\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FGA filed a lawsuit<\/a> in April 2022 against the DOJ and several other executive agencies for failing to comply with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests pertaining to Biden\u2019s March 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/03\/07\/executive-order-on-promoting-access-to-voting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">directive<\/a>. On July 12, 2022, a federal district court ordered the DOJ to deliver the documents to the FGA with a deadline of the November midterm elections. <\/p>\n<p>While the FGA was due to receive the documents on Sept. 8, the DOJ did not fully comply with the court order and withheld key documents related to its \u201cStrategic Plan\u201d in carrying out Biden\u2019s order. <\/p>\n<p>\u201c[A]lthough EO 14019 ordered DOJ to adopt election-related policies, <em>and <\/em>DOJ publicly touts its implementation, <em>and <\/em>another agency (Department of Defense) apparently had no problem with making its strategic plan publicly available, DOJ is erroneously asserting executive privileges under Exemption 5 and unlawfully withholding [its Strategic Plan] and other public records,\u201d FGA\u2019s motion argues. <\/p>\n<p>According to one <a href=\"https:\/\/thefga.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Ex.-A_DOJ-production-excerpt_reduced.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">document<\/a> obtained by the FGA through its FOIA request, back in May 2021, a senior White House official expressed his gratitude for the \u201cambitious and creative ideas that agencies across the government have already begun to develop in order to advance the EO\u2019s mandate to expand access to voter registration and political participation.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy is DOJ and the Biden administration working so hard to hide the full details of these ambitious and creative ideas?\u201d\u00a0asked FGA CEO and President Tarren Bragdon in a <a href=\"https:\/\/acrobat.adobe.com\/link\/track?uri=urn:aaid:scds:US:60f6cc0e-6129-30d2-940a-3353fb7284a6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">press release<\/a>. \u201cThe Constitution does not envision a role for the president in administering elections, yet that is precisely what President Biden is seeking to do \u2014 and his administration is taking great pains to hide their efforts.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration\u2019s intense secrecy and failure to release key details about the executive order raises questions on whether federal agencies are involved in a massive, taxpayer-funded get-out-the-vote scheme to swing elections in Democrats\u2019 favor. Given that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearinvestigations.com\/articles\/2022\/06\/07\/team_zuckerberg_masks_the_heavily_pro-democrat_tilt_of_2020_election_zuck_bucks_study_finds_835470.html#!\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">left-wing billionaires<\/a> engaged in the same tactics during the 2020 presidential election and were largely successful, it makes sense that partisans within the federal government would also want to try it themselves.<\/p>\n<p> Victoria Marshall is a staff writer at The Federalist.
