Stefani made it clear that she had given up on love and never expected to feel so deeply for another man again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are coming up on your two-year anniversary with Blake Shelton,\u201d Barrymore said, seemingly referring to their engagement in October 2020 after dating since 2015. The couple wed in July 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGod just put us together. The \u201cDon\u2019t Speak\u201d singer was going through a breakup with Gavin Rossdale, while Shelton was married to country star Miranda Lambert around the time of their introduction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was like, \u2018I\u2019m gonna wake up every day. I\u2019m gonna have a coffee. I\u2019m gonna take care of my kids, and then I\u2019m gonna go to bed.\u2019 Like I\u2019m never gonna kiss anyone,\u201d Stefani told Barrymore. \u201cI thought my life was over, and then Blake Shelton was like, \u2018Hey. I\u2019m Blake Shelton.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The pop singer said she and Shelton are totally different people, but that\u2019s what works for them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFinding a best friend, someone that is on the same plane when it comes to morals, or just the way you look at life, that\u2019s the dream,\u201d she continued. \u201cWe think the same about things, yet we\u2019re so different. Like, he\u2019s watching football and doing his stuff that he does, and I\u2019m putting makeup on. We\u2019re so different, yet we\u2019re so the same on so many levels.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stefani is happy to discuss her love life but isn\u2019t so forthcoming when it comes to politics. Even as other singers shout their support for abortion and other leftist causes, Stefani has remained tight-lipped on the subject despite mounting pressure from fans and the media.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can see how people would be curious, but I think it\u2019s pretty obvious who I am,\u201d the singer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/why-would-i-even-talk-about-it-gwen-stefani-refuses-to-say-shes-not-a-republican\">said<\/a> of her political leanings in 2021. \u201cI\u2019ve been around forever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe whole point of voting,\u201d she continued, \u201cis you have this personal space to feel how you feel.
