What the Experts Told <em>19FortyFive<\/em><\/h3>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uky.edu\/pattersonschool\/people\/faculty\/dr-robert-farley\">Dr. Robert Farley<\/a>,<\/strong> Senior Lecturer at the University of Kentucky: \u201cI will say that the Russian aviation industry is facing some critical challenges at the moment, on the one hand needing to replace losses incurred in Ukraine and on the other hand needing to re-source advanced components that can no longer be imported from abroad. The PAK DA may not be at the top of Russia\u2019s aviation acquisition priorities for the foreseeable future.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nsri.nebraska.edu\/experienced-experts\/adam-lowther\">Dr. Adam Lowther<\/a>,<\/strong> Director of Strategic Deterrence Programs at the National Strategic Research Institute at the University of Nebraska, U.S. Strategic Command\u2019s University Affiliated Research Center: \u201cIt is not a question of if the PAK DA will fly. It will fly. What is inside that aircraft is the real question. Will it be 20, 50, 80, or 100 percent the equal of American stealth fighters is the question.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/staff\/john-venable\">John Veneable<\/a>,<\/strong> Senior Fellow, Heritage Foundation: \u201c<span class=\"m_4857262013658135095s1\">The Russians were the first to put a man in space, and the first to develop and fly a supersonic transport<\/span><span class=\"m_4857262013658135095apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"m_4857262013658135095s1\">aircraft (the Tupolev Tu-144).
