In fact, <a href=\"https:\/\/cis.org\/Arthur\/CBP-Document-Details-Mass-Release-Illegal-Aliens-under-Biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">some 2.2 million people<\/a> have taken advantage of Biden\u2019s aversion to enforcing immigration law, meaning the nation is on track to see close to 5 million new illegal immigrants by the time Biden leaves office.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But despite the border being out of control, most voters continue to say inflation is their uppermost concern. Since Biden took office, the price of a loaf of bread is up <a href=\"https:\/\/fred.stlouisfed.org\/series\/APU0000702111\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">13 percent<\/a> \u2014 which, shockingly, isn\u2019t even as bad as the increased prices of other necessities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the Northeast, the price of heating oil has more than doubled, rising <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eia.gov\/dnav\/pet\/hist\/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&#038;s=W_EPD2F_PRS_NUS_DPG&#038;f=W\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">123 percent <\/a>from $2.57 per gallon to $5.73. That means the cost of a typical 200-gallon fill leaped from $514 to $1,146. Because times are tight, many homeowners had to resort to paying these bills with their credit cards, which, to make things worse, are now charging higher rates of interest.<\/p>\n<p>In California, where Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom risibly claims that oil industry collusion \u2014 and not his party\u2019s anti-American energy agenda \u2014 is causing high gas prices, the average for a gallon of regular gasoline is $5.82, up $1.30 per gallon, or <a href=\"https:\/\/gasprices.aaa.com\/?state=CA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">29 percent<\/a> from a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>With Democrats panicking, they\u2019re pulling out every device in their bag of tricks to stave off a red election tsunami.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In Texas, this effort may take the form of direct intervention in the election by the now hyper-weaponized Biden Justice Department in Harris County, America\u2019s third-largest county, which is home to Houston, America\u2019s fourth-largest city. There, the Justice Department has been asked by the local Democratic machine to intervene in the November election by sending federal monitors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>First, a little history. Because of Harris County\u2019s sloppiness in administering its elections, Texas\u2019s secretary of state <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sos.state.tx.us\/about\/newsreleases\/2021\/092321.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> last September that it would conduct a \u201cfull forensic audit of 2020 General Election in four Texas counties.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 2020 election, marred by the bending and breaking of election law to accommodate fears over Covid-19, saw Harris County fumble the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sos.state.tx.us\/elections\/fad\/forms\/10-18-2022-letter-to-harris-county-from-sos-fad.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">chain of custody<\/a> for 14 polling locations and their electronic mobile ballot boxes. The number of votes in question totals <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?app=desktop&#038;v=8fLsPXn57jw\">184,999<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With regards to government, we shouldn\u2019t ascribe to malice that which is more easily explained by incompetence.
