Despite a five-month hiatus to allow for the \u201cMarried With Children\u201d alum to begin treatment, she was able to complete the season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the first time anyone\u2019s going to see me the way I am,\u201d she said, sharing a bit of apprehension at the thought of attending her first major ceremony since being diagnosed. \u201cI put on 40 pounds; I can\u2019t walk without a cane. I want people to know that I am very aware of all of that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have a very important ceremony coming up. This will be my first time out since diagnosed with MS. But it was good for me. I needed to process my loss of my life, my loss of that part of me. So I needed that time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough it\u2019s not like I came on the other side of it, like, \u2018Woohoo, I\u2019m totally fine.\u2019 Acceptance?\u201d she asked. \u201cNo. I\u2019m never going to accept this. I\u2019m pissed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Applegate, who earned Emmy nominations for the first two seasons of \u201cDead to Me,\u201d said there was talk about shutting down the show after her diagnosis \u2014 but she wouldn\u2019t have it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe powers that be were like, \u2018Let\u2019s just stop. We don\u2019t need to finish it. Let\u2019s put a few episodes together.\u2019 I said, \u2018No. We\u2019re going to do it, but we\u2019re going to do it on my terms.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The third and final season of \u201cDead to Me\u201d premieres on Netflix on November 17.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">It\u2019s happening.
