The tablets are used to treat high blood pressure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNitrosamines are common in water and foods, including cured and grilled meats, dairy products, and vegetables. Everyone is exposed to some level of nitrosamines,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/aurobindo-pharma-usa-inc-initiates-voluntary-nationwide-recall-two-2-lots-quinapril-and\">according<\/a> to the FDA. \u201cThese impurities may increase the risk of cancer if people are exposed to them above acceptable levels over long periods of time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But the FDA alert doesn\u2019t say to stop taking the medication.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPatients should contact their doctor or health care provider about whether to continue taking their medication, or whether to consider an alternative treatment prior to returning their medication,\u201d it said, adding, \u201cTo date, Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc. has not received any reports of adverse events related to this recall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the FDA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/news\/recalls\/article266700036.html\">said<\/a> earlier this month on its website that bottles of drugs designed to reduce blood pressure contained medication meant for blood clots and strokes, causing a recall of each.<\/p>\n<h2>Other Recent Recalls<\/h2>\n<p>Clorox is recalling its popular Pine-Sol cleaning product in connection to a bacteria exposure risk, according to the U.S.\u00a0Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).<\/p>\n<p>The agency said that consumers should \u201cimmediately stop\u201d using some Pine-Sol products due to them having the bacteria\u00a0Pseudomonas aeruginosa and other types of bacteria.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe recalled products may contain bacteria, including<em> Pseudomonas aeruginosa<\/em>, an environmental organism found widely in soil and water,\u201d the agency says. \u201cPeople with weakened immune systems or external medical devices who are exposed to <em>Pseudomonas aeruginosa<\/em> face a risk of serious infection that may require medical treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes, or through a break in the skin. People with healthy immune systems are usually not affected by the bacteria,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n<p>Unilever United States this week a voluntary recall of several brands of dry shampoo aerosol products because of \u201cpotentially elevated levels\u201d of\u00a0benzene, a\u00a0 carcinogen.<\/p>\n<p>According to a company announcement that was issued via the FDA\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/safety\/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts\/unilever-issues-voluntary-us-recall-select-dry-shampoos-due-potential-presence-benzene\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>, brands that are subject to the recall include Dove, Nexxus, Suave,\u00a0TIGI (Rockaholic and Bed Head), and\u00a0TRESemm\u00e9.
