Notes from it show \u201cthe purpose of the \u2026 meeting was was to receive a briefing\u201d from Dehmlow \u201cregarding the FBI\u2019s roles and responsibilities in combating foreign influence.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/23129257-030122-cisameeting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">briefing<\/a> was attended by senior executives from Twitter as well as from JPMorgan Chase, the University of Washington, Illinois Emergency Management Agency, and Department of Homeland Security elements. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMs. Dehmlow was asked to provide her thoughts or to define a goal for approaching MDM [misinformation and disinformation] and she mentioned \u2018resiliency.\u2019 She stated we need a media infrastructure that is held accountable; we need to educate the populace; and that today, critical thinking seems to be a problem,\u201d the leaked notes state. <\/p>\n<p>Court filings from early October by the GOP attorneys general note that Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has \u201cidentified\u201d the FBI\u2019s Foreign Influence Task Force \u201cas supervised by Dehmlow\u201d as well as San Francisco FBI supervisory special agent Elvis Chan \u201cas involved in the communications between the FBI and Meta that led to Facebook\u2019s suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>FBI Director Christopher Wray <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fbi.gov\/investigate\/counterintelligence\/foreign-influence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">established<\/a> the Foreign Influence Task Force in 2017 to \u201cidentify and counteract malign foreign influence operations targeting the United States.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Rep. Jim Jordan, the ranking member on the House Judiciary Committee, and Rep. James Comer, the top Republican on House Oversight, sent a late August <u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/republicans-oversight.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/090122_Letter-to-Mark-Zuckerberg.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">letter<\/a><\/u> to Facebook demanding access to all communications between the company and the FBI as well as between anyone at the Biden campaign or the Democratic National Committee and anyone at Facebook related to the Hunter Biden laptop stories. <\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<p>Comer also asked Twitter&#8217;s new owner, Elon Musk, to <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/gop-elon-musk-hand-over-twitter-censorship-hunter-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hand over similar information<\/a>. Sens.
