Steve Scalise (R-LA) and targeted members of the House Freedom Caucus.<\/p>\n<p>Behar and her co-hosts were discussing politically-motivated violence \u2014 in the context of the alleged attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi\u2019s husband Paul \u2014 and Behar was clearly puzzled when Republican co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin mentioned the shooting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Alyssa Farah Griffin scolds Republicans but refuses to call out her liberal extremists friends for encouraging the assassination attempt of Kavanaugh and not caring after it happened.<br \/>&#8220;What is that?&#8221; Joy asks regarding the Congressional baseball shooting that targeted Republicans <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/JRdakBOJXZ\">pic.twitter.com\/JRdakBOJXZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NickFondacaro\/status\/1587464814716194817?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 1, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is on the rise is political violence,\u201d Griffin began, adding, \u201cAnd I want to say unequivocally, political violence \u2014 left, right, center \u2014 is wrong. To those in my party who are not calling this out directly, shame on you. This is an 82-year-old man, he\u2019s being charged with elderly abuse for what he did.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd really quickly, I was working for the Freedom Caucus when the 2017 congressional baseball shooting took place \u2014\u201d Griffin continued, but Behar interrupted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is that?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy bosses were actually targeted at the time \u2014\u201d Griffin continued, only to be interrupted again when co-host Sunny Hostin falsely asserted that Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) was part of the [House] Freedom Caucus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, it\u2019s actually just House members,\u201d Griffin quickly corrected her, adding, \u201cBut Steve Scalise was nearly killed in that shooting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Griffin went on to suggest that Democrats had been better about <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/awful-twitter-leftists-beg-baseball-shooter-finish-emily-zanotti\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">condemning the violence<\/a> against Republicans than Republicans were about condemning the violence against Paul Pelosi \u2014 but she left out the fact that, while Republicans did not blame that shooting on all elected Democrats and even Democratic voters, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/part-of-the-insurrection-toxicity-msnbc-anchor-tries-to-tie-paul-pelosi-attack-to-january-6th\/\">media figures<\/a> and even <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/biden-blames-republicans-for-violent-attack-on-nancy-pelosis-husband\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">President Joe Biden<\/a> had been quick to blame all Republicans and their rhetoric for the attack on Paul Pelosi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe difference is every Democrat roundly condemned it and they rooted for his recovery,\u201d she said. \u201cWhat is happening, we should be ashamed of. The fact that we can\u2019t unequivocally call out wrongdoing, this is \u2014 I fear it\u2019s going to get worse before it gets better.
