Biden hasn\u2019t bothered to make stops in Arizona, Nevada, or Georgia. He also is not expected to make additional visits to Wisconsin or Michigan, either.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, there\u2019s an obvious reason why: Inflation is soaring and Americans \u2014 more than six in ten of whom are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/10\/24\/more-americans-live-paycheck-to-paycheck-as-inflation-outpaces-income.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">living paycheck<\/a> to paycheck \u2014 are just trying to figure out how they\u2019re going to make it until the next payday. They overwhelmingly blame Biden for the shredded economy, and according to nearly every poll, they\u2019re about to take it out big time on Biden\u2019s Democratic Party.<\/p>\n<p>And just take a look at the Toxic Duo\u2019s schedule this week. Biden will travel to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in a last-ditch effort to save Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist, who appears beyond salvation, with the Real Clear Politics (RCP) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2022\/governor\/fl\/florida_governor_desantis_vs_crist-7324.html\">average<\/a> of all polls giving him a 12.3-point disadvantage.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019ll then head to another event to hype Democrat Val Demings, who trails Sen. Marco Rubio in the RCP average by eight points.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, Biden \u201cwill deliver remarks on protecting Social Security and Medicare and lowering prescription drug costs\u201d at the White House, according to his official schedule. As desperate Democrats often do when they\u2019re trailing badly, they hit the \u201cMediscare\u201d button, alleging (falsely) that Republicans will gut the social programs.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Biden will travel to New Mexico for a variety of appearances, including an event with Democrat Governor Lujan Grisham. And he doesn\u2019t even have a trip scheduled on Friday when he often cuts the day short and helos to his Delaware beach house.<\/p>\n<p>Harris\u2019 schedule is even worse. She\u2019s heading to Boston on Wednesday \u201cto highlight the Biden-Harris Administration\u2019s commitment to lowering costs for working American families, creating jobs, and combatting the climate crisis,\u201d her schedule said.<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, climate doesn\u2019t even make the top ten issues Americans care about, and Massachusetts isn\u2019t exactly a swing battleground state. She\u2019ll also deliver her boring endorsement speech later in the day for gubernatorial candidate Maura Healey, who the RCP average says leads the Republican candidate by a whopping 25.5 points.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, she\u2019ll hit New York City (which is already heavily liberal) to campaign for Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY). And on Sunday she\u2019ll go to Illinois (another liberal bastion) to deliver remarks at an AAPI event (that\u2019s so boring we\u2019re not even going to look up what AAPI stands for).<\/p>\n<p>Democrats have tried to frame Campaign \u201922 on issues like Social Security and abortion, but as Bill Clinton\u2019s campaign manager declared in 1992, \u201cit\u2019s the economy, stupid.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe problem this cycle, in terms of where we are today and where we are headed, is that it\u2019s not clear what is safe anymore,\u201d Democratic strategist\u00a0Chris Kofinis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/biden-avoids-some-battleground-states-in-midterms-final-stretch-11667217622?mod=hp_lead_pos12\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> the Journal. \u201cI\u2019m not surprised he\u2019s not going to Arizona or Nevada. The question is\u2014is he helping or hurting in Pennsylvania or New York? That part is not clear.
