DeAngelis, posted of another teacher&#8217;s union&#8217;s support, the <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/us-teacher-union-president-faces-backlash-over-bizarre-ukraine-trip\">American Federation of Teachers<\/a> (AFT) by noting that their president Randi Weingarten was stumping for Whitmer.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>DeAngelis also cited the NEA&#8217;s $1 million contribution, as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crainsdetroit.com\/politics-policy\/whos-donated-groups-supporting-dixon-whitmer\">Crain&#8217;s Detroit Business<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/mcfn.org\/donor-tracking?candidate=159\">Michigan Campaign Finance Network<\/a>, the NEA also contributed $1 million through their advocacy fund between 2011 and 2019 to Whitmer&#8217;s political career.
