Wuhan Institute of Virology has stirred controversy \u2013 received a new six-figure grant from the U.S. Department of Defense, War Room can reveal.<\/p>\n<p>EcoHealth Alliance previously manipulated \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thenationalpulse.com\/2021\/06\/08\/daszak-reveals-chinese-colleagues-manipulating-coronaviruses\/\">killer<\/a>\u201d bat coronaviruses with striking resemblances to COVID-19 to become deadlier to humans alongside its Chinese Communist Party-controlled partner, using <a href=\"https:\/\/thenationalpulse.com\/2021\/05\/14\/exc-navarros-9-indisputable-facts-linking-fauci-to-covid-19-origin\/\">taxpayer<\/a> funds from Anthony Fauci\u2019s National Institutes of Health (NIH) agency to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Amidst refusing to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2021\/10\/25\/one-person-who-might-know-what-really-happened-wuhan\/\">comply<\/a> with several congressional investigations into its \u201cgain-of-function\u201d research in Wuhan, EcoHealth Alliance has continued to receive taxpayer-backed grants from various federal agencies.<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, EcoHealth Alliance received a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usaspending.gov\/award\/ASST_NON_HDTRA12110023_9761\">grant<\/a> totaling $115,000 from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), href=\"https:\/\/www.dtra.mil\/WhoWeAre\/\">classifies<\/a> weapons of mass destruction as \u201cchemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear agents with the potential to hold U.S. and allied interests at significant risk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The DOD-run program reportedly seeks to have EcoHealth Alliance \u201cpredict biothreat impacts from early-stage data via transfer learning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>No further details about the nature of the research supported by the grant, however, were provided.<\/p>\n<p>EcoHealth Alliance\u2019s relationship with the Pentagon <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/07\/01\/pentagon-gave-millions-to-ecohealth-alliance-for-wuhan-lab\/amp\/\">dates<\/a> back to at least fiscal year 2014 when it began working on a program labeled \u201cScientific Research \u2013 Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction\u201d. The program ultimately led to nearly $34 million in taxpayer funds being funneled from the DOD\u2019s DTRA to support EcoHealth Alliance.<\/p>\n<p>The unearthed grant follows EcoHealth Alliance receiving a <a href=\"https:\/\/republicans-energycommerce.house.gov\/news\/press-release\/ec-republicans-to-nih-why-resume-taxpayer-supported-grant-funding-to-ecohealth\/\">recent<\/a> grant from Fauci\u2019s NIH agency despite President Donald Trump terminating the non-profit\u2019s taxpayer-supported projects after its close ties to the Wuhan Institute of Virology were revealed.
