While star Michael J. Fox has an idea to make this happen, some fans may feel that his idea is just a little too \u201cwoke\u201d for their liking, however.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Michael J. Fox thinks that a Back to the Future reboot, should it ever occur, would benefit from a gender-swapped version of his character. &#8220;I actually had this thought that if they did the movie again, they should do it with a girl as Marty.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HVwmbBeEUY\">pic.twitter.com\/HVwmbBeEUY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NoMoreMutants (@_NoMoreMutants) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/_NoMoreMutants\/status\/1585319991364272141?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 26, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3><strong>Fox\u2019s Reboot Idea<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In a new interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etonline.com\/michael-j-fox-shares-his-idea-for-back-to-the-future-remake-and-talks-christopher-lloyd-reunion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Entertainment Tonight<\/a>, Fox gave his pitch for a\u00a0<em>Back To The Future\u00a0<\/em>reboot, saying that he\u2019d like to see a gender-swapped version of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI actually had this thought that if they did the movie again, they should do it with a girl as Marty,\u201d he said, referring to his character Marty McFly. \u201cThere\u2019s something about [the franchise] that connects with people on every level. Back in 2020,\u00a0<em>Back To The Future\u00a0<\/em>writer Bob Gale explained to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WIexBcMbEaM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Collider<\/a> why a fourth\u00a0<i>Back To The\u00a0Future\u00a0<\/i>movie simply isn\u2019t in the cards.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe told a complete story with the trilogy,\u201d he said back in 2020, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/movieweb.com\/back-to-the-future-4-why-not-happening\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Movie Web<\/a>. \u201cIf we went back and made another one, we\u2019d have Michael J. Fox, who will be sixty next year, and he has Parkinson\u2019s Disease. Do we want to see Marty McFly at age sixty with Parkinson\u2019s Disease? Did we want to see him at age fifty with Parkinson\u2019s Disease?
