You can\u2019t wish it or explain it away. They consider the race to be a toss-up.<\/p>\n<p>One month ago, Fetterman was leading in the polls by 4.5 points. In mid-August, he was ahead of Oz by 8.7 points.<\/p>\n<p>Will the debate debacle be enough to put Oz over the top?<\/p>\n<p>One voter told NewsNation host Chris Cuomo that he \u201cwas definitely leaning towards Fetterman,\u201d but acknowledges post-debate that \u201cI have totally changed to the Oz side.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Independent Pennsylvania voter: Before the debate \u201cI was definitely leaning towards Fetterman, and I think I have totally changed to the Oz side.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/rgkMJSlyzP\">pic.twitter.com\/rgkMJSlyzP<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 RNC Research (@RNCResearch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1585100183007727616?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 26, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Finding the silver lining in Fetterman\u2019s debate performance was Senator Chris Coons (D-DE), who suggested the Democrat candidate\u2019s inability to string together coherent sentences was akin to former President Donald Trump\u2019s debate performances.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis answers were halting and he didn\u2019t understand the issues, and he was combative and aggressive,\u201d Coons said of Trump. \u201cBut millions of Americans voted for him because they liked his attitude and authenticity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Being plain-spoken is a lot different than debuting on stage by saying, \u201cHi.
