The details inform federal authorities what to look out for leading up to the November 8 election.<\/p>\n<p>However, federal authorities have included misinformation, which means false or misleading information spread mistakenly or unintentionally, as something that could lead to a full or grand jury investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The document also lists \u201cdisinformation\u201d as an election crime, which points to \u201cfalse or inaccurate information intended to mislead others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDisinformation campaigns on social media are used to deliberately confuse, trick, or upset the public,\u201d the document reads.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI\u2019s National Press Office declined to requests for comment to The Daily Wire.<\/p>\n<p>According to the federal agency\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbi.gov\/how-we-can-help-you\/safety-resources\/scams-and-safety\/common-scams-and-crimes\/election-crimes-and-security\">website<\/a>, \u201cbad actors use various methods to spread disinformation about voting, such as social media platforms, texting, or peer-to-peer messaging applications on smartphones. They may provide misleading information about the time, manner, or place of voting. This can include inaccurate election dates or false claims about voting qualifications or methods, such as false information suggesting that one may vote by text, which is not allowed in any jurisdiction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING: From Project Veritas!
