But, all kidding aside, a day doesn\u2019t go by that I don\u2019t hear something obnoxious from this self-purported news channel.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This time the example of blatant insanity comes from \u201cMorning Joe,\u201d where a spirited debate between Mehdi Hasan and Shadi Hamid took place regarding the usual battle cry of the liberals: the imminent destruction of democracy. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You might recognize the name Shadi Hamid; <a href=\"https:\/\/thepoliticalinsider.com\/msnbc-guest-reveals-liberal-coping-mechanisms-for-having-to-share-a-country-with-conservatives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I reported earlier<\/a> about his segment with Jen Psaki, where he correctly explained that we all must learn to live in the same space as those who disagree with us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Mr. Hamid might be the only reason to tune in to the channel, frankly. His latest endeavor was to explain that the liberal rhetoric around saving democracy might be causing more harm than good; imagine that.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mehdirhasan?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@mehdirhasan<\/a>: \u201cDo you believe the 2024 election will be a free and fair election if Black people are denied the right to vote?\u201d<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/shadihamid?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@shadihamid<\/a>: &#8220;Black people are denied the right to vote? That\u2019s the first I\u2019ve heard\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You can\u2019t hear the rest of what Mr. Hamid says because, in typical wig-out fashion, Mr. Hasan feigns shock. This particular back-and-forth highlights what the Democrats continue pushing even though all evidence points to the contrary.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Black Voters in Georgia have done it again! But that <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/3702026-abrams-voter-suppression-in-georgia-still-underway-despite-record-early-turnout\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">doesn\u2019t matter<\/a> to Hasan, or Stacey Abrams, who is already teeing up her argument against conceding if she loses to Governor Kemp:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201c\u2026it is wrong to suggest that there is a correlation between voter turnout and voter suppression because suppression is about barriers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">On the flip side, her campaign manager Lauren Groh-Wargo states:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cMore black men have voted early in person in raw numbers in 2022 than 2020 or 2018 at the same point.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">So wait a second\u2026 let me get this straight: the state that the White House called \u201cJim Crow 2.0\u201d is seeing the largest early voter turnout to include black voters\u2026 but it\u2019s still voter suppression? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/jean-pierre-skewered-comments-voter-suppression-amid-record-turnout-stop-spreading-disinformation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">explains<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cSpeaking generally, of course, more broadly, of course, high turnout and voter suppression can take place at the same time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Oh, OK, I see now. But for Democrats, that doesn\u2019t matter; it\u2019s interesting how they seem to be primed and ready to deny election results before they are even available.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">When <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/shadihamid?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@shadihamid<\/a> told Mehdi Hasan that African Americans have a right to vote in 2022, Hasan replied, \u201cHave you been to Georgia lately, Shadi?\u201d Has Mehdi? Here\u2019s early vote in some of Georgias largest counties, via <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ajc?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@AJC<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6l9gBV6v3Q\">pic.twitter.com\/6l9gBV6v3Q<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Zaid Jilani (@ZaidJilani) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ZaidJilani\/status\/1585462319269781508?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 27, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">So Much Sense<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">I wish I could\u2019ve heard more from Mr. Hamid, but unfortunately, Mr. Hasan made it very difficult to catch what his counterpart had to say. I caught an exchange regarding this alleged attack on democracy that Democrats keep speaking about.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Mr. Hamid brings up that when liberals (and I would argue the media in general), continue to push this argument that there is a threat to democracy that, they will attempt to justify:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201c\u2026extraordinary measures to suppress that threat.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He continues to explain that a real threat is that justification that could lead to:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201c\u2026suppressing democracy in order to save it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He brings it home at the end when he hits the bullseye on what truly is a danger to our democracy:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cI worry your rhetoric can lead us to do things we shouldn\u2019t do in a democratic context and for us as liberals to go too far into demonizing our opponents and the other side.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">That\u2019s one intelligent level-headed liberal; he doesn\u2019t know he\u2019s on MSNBC, right?<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Me: &#8220;[Trump] is not just anti-immigration, he wanted to build a moat, put alligators in it, &#038; shoot migrants in the legs. What Happened?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Example After Example<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You can turn on the television or check Twitter at any given time on any given day and find examples of this same kind of rhetoric that Mr. Hamid is referencing. Mehdi Hasan is well known for it and had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/mehdi-hasan-republicans-rushing-congratulate-neo-fascist-future-leader-italy-075340254.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">no problem going after Republicans<\/a> who congratulated the new Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cWhat\u2019s been so depressing is to see so much of the, quote unquote, liberal media, the mainstream media, the MSM, giving a pass to Meloni, or playing down her and her party\u2019s fascist roots, focusing more on the fact that she\u2019s female, and less on the fact that she\u2019s, you know, fascistic.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">There\u2019s that word\u2026 fascist. It feels like these pundits have a list of names to call conservatives and cycle through them in the hopes it\u2019ll stick.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">I find it depressing to see so much of the quote-unquote, liberal progressive media not gushing over the first female Prime Minister of Italy as much as they did the first female Vice President of the United States. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Instead, they focused on Harris\u2019 gender and minority status and less on the fact that she\u2019s, you know, incompetent.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">How long until Joy Reid blames John Fetterman&#8217;s stroke on white supremacy?<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Tim Young (@TimRunsHisMouth) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TimRunsHisMouth\/status\/1585132019264389120?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 26, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Then you have Joy Reid, who summed up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbangor.com\/national-news\/msnbcs-obsession-with-fascism-blasted-as-constant-fear-mongering-as-network-uses-term-1614-times-in-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the only reason<\/a> she believes anyone would choose not to vote for a Democrat:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cIt\u2019s terrifying how many Americans will choose literal fascism, female serfdom, climate collapse and the reversal of everything from social security and Medicare to student loan relief because they think giving Republicans the power to investigate Hunter Biden will bring down gas prices.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">How incredibly tone-deaf and disconnected from reality is Joy Reid? People aren\u2019t voting for Republicans because of Hunter Biden. However, it\u2019s fair to want to know what his father, who is the leader of the free world, knew and didn\u2019t know about Hunter\u2019s dealings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">People are voting for Republicans because they can\u2019t afford groceries. They have to work an extra ten years into their 70s because they\u2019ve lost a quarter of their retirement savings. They are voting for Republicans because they feel unsafe walking in the neighborhood, and a thousand other real reasons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">But keep telling us how we are the fascists and how we are a threat to democracy.
