They also act in immature ways because of it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I look at these big, spectacular films \u2014 I\u2019m looking at you, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/marvel\">Marvel<\/a> and DC \u2014 it doesn\u2019t matter how old the characters are, they all act like they\u2019re in college,\u201d Cameron told the publication.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have relationships, but they really don\u2019t,\u201d the \u201cAvatar\u201d creator continued. \u201cThey never hang up their spurs because of their kids.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe things that really ground us and give us power, love, and a purpose? Those characters don\u2019t experience it, and I think that\u2019s not the way to make movies,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Cameron is working hard to promote his highly anticipated film, \u201cAvatar: The Way of Water,\u201d which premieres in theaters on December 16.<\/p>\n<p>The sequel is dropping nearly 15 years after the original \u201cAvatar\u201d shattered box office records, becoming the highest-grossing film ever made with a whopping $2.8 billion in sales. Fans are excited to see the newest version, which Cameron says will have a more mature storyline that includes parenthood for the main characters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cZoe and Sam now play parents, 15 years later,\u201d Cameron told the NYT. \u201cIn the first movie, Sam\u2019s character leaps off his flying creature and essentially changes the course of history as a result of this crazy, almost suicidal leap of faith.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cAnd Zoe\u2019s character leaps off a limb and assumes there\u2019s going to be some nice big leaves down there that can cushion her fall. But when you\u2019re a parent, you don\u2019t think that way.
