But that is set to change this time around.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know that many voters will be casting ballots with anger on their minds. We just don\u2019t know who which side will be angrier,\u201d Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research Associates <a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/23171526-220699-nbc-news-october-poll-v3\">told<\/a> NBC News.<\/p>\n<p>His poll, conducted with Republican Bill McInturff and his team at Public Opinion Strategies, contained some remarkable findings. The survey found that 70% of registered voters have high interest in the election \u2014 either a \u201c9\u201d or a \u201c10\u201d on a 10-point scale.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s the highest percentage ever in the survey for a midterm election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an eye-popper,\u201d said McInturff, who noted that the number is higher than in 2018, which set a turnout record for a midterm election.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more, Republicans are more jazzed than Democrats for the midterms. Among GOP voters, 78% of Republicans have high interest, compared with 69% of Democrats. That 9-point edge for Republicans is triple what it was in the pollsters\u2019 survey in September.<\/p>\n<p>The legacy media is doing all it can to pretend the 2022 midterms will be close. They won\u2019t be. Polls show the Republican lead rising exponentially in a generic poll; 3% over Democrats in July, 6% in August, and 9% last month.<\/p>\n<p>Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA) predicts a bloodbath.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would say we\u2019ll be between plus three and plus seven \u2026 in the\u00a0Senate; and we\u2019ll be between plus 20 and plus 50 in the House, with the most likely number being plus 44,\u201d Gingrich told The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/exclusive-gop-could-gain-up-to-7-seats-in-senate-50-seats-in-house-gingrich_4814897.html?utm_source=partner&#038;utm_campaign=BonginoReport\">Epoch Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The GOP needs just five seats to take the House and only one seat in the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlmost everywhere in the country, races are showing the Republicans tightening up,\u201d Gingrich said, noting that inflation, crime, border security, and \u201cwoke policies\u201d are all \u201ccoming together\u201d against the Democrats\u2019 favor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you have sort of insane left-wing Democrats who believe that you don\u2019t need prisons and that things can be dealt with by just being nice to murderers, I think the average person just thinks this is crazy,\u201d he said, pointing to the soaring crime and revolving door policies in New York City.<\/p>\n<p>And Gingrich said abortion is \u201cnot helping Democrats as much as they think.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople actually think the Democrats are more extreme in their eagerness to kill babies than Republicans are in their desire to save babies,\u201d he said. \u201cTheir activists are so intense, and so rabid, and their activists have been giving money, it feels like it\u2019s a good issue for them.
