Version: 4.0.47--><div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/2022.10.25-02.58-thepoliticalinsider-6357f9a4da2eb.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/div>\n<p>A new poll indicates voters are drifting away from our elected officials\u2019 insistence that it is America\u2019s job to defend and protect Ukraine, especially when it affects gas prices and inflation.<\/p>\n<p>A Morning Consult poll <a href=\"https:\/\/morningconsult.com\/tracking-the-russia-ukraine-crisis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">released on Monday shows<\/a> only 42% believe it\u2019s the United States\u2019 role to help Ukraine in their conflict with Russia \u2013 including just 29% of Republicans and 38% of independents.<\/p>\n<p>Demonstrating once again that Democrats are on an island, 56% of that party\u2019s voters feel it is America\u2019s duty to intercede on Ukraine\u2019s behalf in some manner.<\/p>\n<p>With just 29% of Republicans supporting this nation\u2019s role in the conflict, it is confounding that a clear majority of GOP lawmakers have gone along willingly with Democrats to send tens of billions in taxpayer funds to the Eastern European country.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, anybody opposed to sending resources the American people could surely use in difficult times to Ukraine is immediately branded \u201cpro-Putin.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Overall, 42 percent of respondents believe that the U.S. has an obligation to help Ukraine, according to the survey. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/aii2WnktBN\">https:\/\/t.co\/aii2WnktBN<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 KXAN News (@KXAN_News) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KXAN_News\/status\/1584756676154068994?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 25, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/thepoliticalinsider.com\/congress-trying-to-ram-through-50-billion-more-for-ukraine-before-gop-takes-control-of-the-house\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Congress Trying to Ram Through $50 Billion More for Ukraine Before GOP Takes Control of the House<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>America Not Obligated to Help Ukraine<\/h3>\n<p>The latest poll <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/international\/3702492-only-29-percent-of-gop-voters-say-us-has-an-obligation-to-help-ukraine-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">showing less than half<\/a> of Americans believe the federal government should defend Ukraine comes as reports have surfaced of a bipartisan effort to lock in a staggering <em><strong>$50 billion<\/strong><\/em> in additional military aid for the country.<\/p>\n<div id=\"subscribe\" class=\"email-signup inarticle\">\n<h4>Support Conservative Voices!<\/h4>\n<h5><strong>Sign up to receive the latest<\/strong> political news, insight, and commentary delivered directly to your inbox.<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>The additional amount, if agreed to, would bring the total financial aid provided to Ukraine to well over $110 billion. And it\u2019s being discussed now as a means to ram it through before a new Congress is sworn in this January.<\/p>\n<p>You know, before some America First politicians arrive to put a stop to it, hopefully.<\/p>\n<p>The Morning Consult poll also shows the American people are growing more fractured over our role in the Ukraine-Russia conflict. Meaning: US aid is not unlimited.
