The next step is for the CDC to decide whether to take this advice, which it\u2019s fully expected to do. It\u2019ll be yet another <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/08\/14\/too-little-too-late-disband-the-cdc-now\/\">giant mistake by the agency.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Individual states will then choose whether to make the vaccination mandatory for kids to attend school. The CDC isn\u2019t worried, though.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMoving COVID-19 to the recommended immunization schedule does not impact what vaccines are required for school entrance, if any,\u201d Dr. Nirav Shah, director of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said. \u201cLocal control matters. And we honor that the decision around school entrance for vaccines rests where it did before, which is with the state level, the county level and at the municipal level, if it exists at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is nonsense. Blue cities and states have used \u201cCDC guidance\u201d as cover to <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/09\/18\/continuing-covid-craziness-shows-it-was-never-about-the-science\/\">implement the most extreme COVID measures<\/a> since the beginning. And with Democrats controlling the White House, the administration will force as many states as it can to make the COVID vaccine compulsory for kids.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve had a disastrous few years of guidance out of our nation\u2019s politicized health agencies, and this is just the latest example. The Biden team has informed them what decisions they should reach.<\/p>\n<p>From the CDC allowing a special-interest group, the American Federation of Teachers, to <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/10\/13\/progressives-dominated-cdc-directors-lone-parent-meeting\/\">craft school-opening policies<\/a>, to the administration forcing the Food and Drug Administration to authorize boosters for young people, to Anthony Fauci, the president\u2019s chief medical adviser, saying that Joe Biden\u2019s spending bill had to pass before schools could open, White House politicos are running our health policy, and the results have been catastrophic.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/10\/covid-19-vaccine-youth.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/covid-19-vaccine-youth.jpg\" alt=\"Dr. Nirav Shah, director of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said the recommendation will not \" impact what vaccines are required for school entrance \/><\/a><figcaption>Dr. Nirav Shah, director of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said the recommendation will not \u201cimpact what vaccines are required for school entrance.\u201d<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">David Paul Morris\/Bloomberg via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The World Health Organization and UNICEF in July reported that all immunization rates for children have fallen sharply through the pandemic. Part of this is likely the result of disastrous lockdown policies that led to people skipping routine medical care.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n\t<\/aside>\n<p>But I frequently hear from people who are rethinking their child\u2019s entire immunization schedule in light of the CDC\u2019s behavior on the COVID vaccine for children. These people were never \u201cvaccine skeptics,\u201d but they\u2019ve been lied to about the COVID vaccine and now question everything they\u2019ve heard from these health agencies.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s just one example: In a February piece in these pages, Marty Makary, MD, MPH, a professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/02\/27\/the-cdc-has-a-hidden-agenda-when-it-comes-to-covid-vaccines\/\">pointed out that the CDC is outright lying and fudging data<\/a> about the need for boosters. Makary wrote, \u201cAn <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nejm.org\/doi\/full\/10.1056\/NEJMoa2115926\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Israeli population study in the New England Journal of Medicine<\/a> compared boosted vs. nonboosted people with the primary vaccine series. The risk of COVID death among nonboosted people under age 30 was zero \u2014 the same as it was among boosted. A note for college administrators enforcing booster mandates: You can\u2019t reduce a mortality risk of zero any lower with a booster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The same is true of the vaccine for children. The COVID mortality risk of a non-vaccinated child is statistically zero. The vaccine simply can\u2019t reduce it any further. So why is the CDC pushing it as if kids have been dying en masse from COVID? The result of forcing this vaccine onto the regular schedule is that parents will look at the other vaccines on the schedule with suspicion.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the problem, from every health official to every Democratic politician implementing their insane suggestions, is that these officials have treated fighting COVID as if it exists in a bubble. But all their policies, like closing schools, locking down our economy and fully lying about the vaccines, have had and will continue to have long-ranging repercussions.<\/p>\n<p>There isn\u2019t a light switch we will at some point flip to get people to trust our health agencies again just like we couldn\u2019t simply restart our economy or get people <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/12\/27\/amid-the-pandemic-exodus-from-americas-public-schools\/\">to go back<\/a> to their public schools.
