Andrew Cuomo after serving more than 23 years for convictions for second-degree murder, attempted murder and three counts of robbery. He was separated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of where the alleged incident took place, Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler ripped Biden over the story in February 2020, calling it<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2020\/02\/25\/bidens-ridiculous-claim-he-was-arrested-trying-see-mandela\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0\u201cridiculous\u201d<\/a> and noting that the Soweto township, near Johannesburg, is hundreds of miles from the Robben Island prison off Cape Town, where Mandela was held. <\/p>\n<p>Biden often shares false stories while attempting to demonstrate a personal connection to his audiences.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0May,\u00a0Biden\u00a0said at the\u00a0Naval\u00a0Academy\u2019s graduation ceremony that he was <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/05\/27\/joe-biden-says-he-applied-to-naval-academy-dates-dont-add-up\/\">appointed to the military school\u00a0in\u00a01965<\/a>\u00a0by the late Sen. J. Caleb Boggs (R-Del.).\u00a0A\u00a0search\u00a0of\u00a0Boggs\u2019 archive<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/06\/14\/no-record-of-biden-naval-academy-appointment-he-boasted-about\/\">\u00a0failed\u00a0to\u00a0turn up evidence<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0the appointment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n\t<\/aside>\n<p>In\u00a0January of this year,\u00a0Biden\u00a0told students\u00a0of\u00a0historically black colleges\u00a0in\u00a0Atlanta that he was\u00a0arrested\u00a0during\u00a0civil\u00a0rights\u00a0protests \u2014\u00a0for\u00a0which there<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/sYzFB#selection-957.183-957.237\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0is\u00a0no evidence<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/09\/02\/tree-of-life-synagogue-disputes-joe-bidens-claim-he-visited\/\">in\u00a0September 2021 told Jewish leaders\u00a0<\/a>that he remembered \u201cspending time at\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cgoing\u00a0to\u201d the\u00a0Tree\u00a0of\u00a0Life\u00a0synagogue\u00a0in\u00a0Pittsburgh after the mass murder\u00a0of\u00a011 people there\u00a0in\u00a02018. The synagogue said he never visited\u00a0and\u00a0the White House<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/09\/03\/white-house-admits-bidens-didnt-tree-of-life-synagogue\/\">\u00a0later said<\/a>\u00a0he was thinking\u00a0about\u00a0a\u00a02019 phone call\u00a0to\u00a0the synagogue\u2019s rabbi.<\/p>\n<p>The latest Mandela blunder comes as Biden, the oldest president in history to hold office, acknowledged Sunday that concerns over his age are<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/10\/23\/biden-says-concerns-about-his-age-are-legitimate\/\"> \u201clegitimate.\u201d <\/a><\/p>\n<p>When\u00a0asked by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/sunday-show\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MSNBC\u2019s Jonathan Capehart\u00a0what he would tell<\/a> supporters who are unsure whether he should seek re-election due to his advanced age, the president said \u201cit\u2019s a legitimate thing to be concerned about anyone\u2019s age, including mine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I think the best way to make the judgment is to watch me,\u201d the president added. \u201cAm I slowing up?
