The prodigal son, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. And it just so happens that the amount he requested and the amount Congress is reportedly considering are very close.<\/p>\n<p>Zelensky insisted Ukraine would need\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rferl.org\/a\/zelensiky-appeals-international-donors-support-ukraine\/32080182.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an additional $55 billion in aid<\/a>\u00a0to combat budget and infrastructure matters brought about by the Russian invasion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt this time, we have two key financial needs of the country,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s $38 billion to make up for the deficit of our budget for next year and other $17 billion that were verified by the World Bank and needed to rebuild the critical infrastructure.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Is anyone auditing how all the money being sent to Ukraine is being spent?
