The suspect reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/darrell-brooks-waukesha-parade-crash-71-charges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kept driving<\/a> with his head out the window even as bodies on the windshield blocked his view.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd for so long now, roughly a year, there\u2019s only truly been one side told of this story,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd I\u2019ve sat back and watched from countless narratives that\u2019s been put out there, the way this incident has been portrayed at times. And finally, everyone getting a chance to get the full story.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou won\u2019t hear me try to argue facts. The fact is this incident was tragic, very tragic. That\u2019s not lost on me,\u201d the suspect stated. \u201cWhat I\u2019m confident that the evidence will show is that this incident was not planned. This incident was not intentional. This incident was never even thought about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s easy to look at the magnitude of something like this and form opinions,\u201d he declared. \u201cI think it\u2019s easy to disregard a lot of factors. \u2026 It\u2019s easy to forget the other side of the coin. \u2026 I just want you to keep in mind the power that you have.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s been a lot of words thrown out there about the alleged \u2014 lot of speculation, lot of ridicule,\u201d he complained. \u201cWords like \u2018demon.\u2019 Words like \u2018monster.\u2019 I know a lot of the time I\u2019ve been before you you\u2019ve seen me with this mask on. I\u2019ve had my reasons for that, but I feel now is the time that it\u2019s important that you see me for who I am. No mask. For who I am. I think this is the moment for that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last week, the suspect <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/alleged-waukesha-christmas-parade-killer-mocks-victims-in-court-while-demanding-that-case-be-dismissed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">demanded in court<\/a> that his case be dismissed because there were no victims present to face him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere\u2019s the injured party? Is the injured party present in court right now?\u201d the suspect fumed. \u201cCan anyone, can anyone make a claim against me? Can you make a claim against me, your honor?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you know if anyone that can make a claim against me, your honor? Can anyone right now in court, anyone, make a claim against me?\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd because of that, your honor, the motion to dismiss should be granted based on that alone. There is no injured party in this matter. So, who makes the claim?
