According to the whistleblowers, high-ranking FBI officials were pressuring field agents to fabricate domestic terrorism cases and label people as white supremacists in order to \u201cmeet internal metrics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe demand for white supremacy\u201d coming from FBI brass \u201cvastly outstrips the supply of white supremacy,\u201d one agent told the Washington Times. \u201cWe have more people assigned to investigate white supremacists than we can actually find.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are sort of the lapdogs as the actual agents doing these sorts of investigations, trying to find a crime to fit otherwise First Amendment-protected activities,\u201d one whistleblower said. \u201cIf they have a Gadsden flag and they own guns and they are mean at school board meetings, that\u2019s probably a domestic terrorist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On December 2, members of the House Judiciary Committee will interview Jill Sanborn, a former assistant director of the FBI Counterterrorism Division and executive assistant director of its National Security Branch, who has been accused of pressuring agents to reclassify cases per the White House\u2019s requests.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI claims it only investigates those \u201cwho commit or intend to commit violence and criminal activity that constitutes a federal crime or poses a threat to national security\u201d and that it does not target individuals or organizations based on their political beliefs.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the administration previously came under fire for using the resources of the Department of Justice <a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/news-and-politics\/robert-spencer\/2022\/01\/11\/busted-bidens-education-secretary-solicited-the-infamous-letter-likening-angry-parents-to-domestic-terrorists-n1548674\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">to target angry parents at school board meetings and treat them like domestic terrorists<\/a>.\u00a0Merrick Garland authorized the FBI to investigate <a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/news-and-politics\/stacey-lennox\/2021\/10\/05\/ag-merrick-garland-sics-the-feds-on-parents-opposing-critical-race-theory-n1521672\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">parents who protested school board meetings<\/a> alleging a \u201cdisturbing trend\u201d of teachers being threatened or harassed. However, PJ Media\u2019s Megan Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/columns\/megan-fox\/2021\/10\/05\/what-threats-led-to-doj-turning-fbi-loose-on-parents-protesting-school-boards-n1521793\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">looked into those allegations and concluded that they\u2019re mostly bunk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the National School Boards Association (NSBA), which had prompted Garland to write the memo with a <a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/news-and-politics\/chris-queen\/2022\/05\/20\/national-school-boards-association-reviews-letter-comparing-parents-to-domestic-terrorists-n1599656\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">letter likening parents to domestic terrorists<\/a>, eventually apologized for doing so. Despite this, Garland has not rescinded the memo. Late last year,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/news-and-politics\/matt-margolis\/2021\/11\/16\/whistleblower-fbi-is-tracking-parents-for-alleged-threats-against-school-officials-n1533664\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a whistleblower revealed an internal email showing that the FBI was using counterterrorism tools to monitor parents<\/a>\u00a0despite Garland denying before Congress that the FBI was doing so.
