It earned $21.45 billion in revenue, falling short of the forecasted $21.96 billion. Musk, however, said that demand for the company\u2019s vehicles is soaring, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/10\/19\/tesla-tsla-earnings-q3-2022-.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a> from CNBC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t emphasize enough, we have excellent demand for Q4 and we expect to sell every car that we make for as far into the future as we can see,\u201d Musk said. \u201cThe factories are running at full speed and we\u2019re delivering every car we make, and keeping operating margins strong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>State and federal policymakers are enacting new incentives for electric vehicle ownership. A recent set of guidelines from the California Air Resources Board mandates that all new cars sold in the state must produce zero emissions by 2035, while the governments of Massachusetts, Washington, and Virginia have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/ridiculous-edict-virginia-gov-glenn-youngkin-blasts-californias-gas-car-phase-out\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">enacted legislation<\/a> adopting the California standards. President Joe Biden recently signed the Inflation Reduction Act, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/energy-sec-granholm-families-should-use-ev-tax-credits-weatherize-their-homes-finance-solar-panels-to-cope-with-inflation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">includes<\/a> $7,500 tax credits for some new electric vehicles and $4,000 tax credits for used ones.<\/p>\n<p>Musk said that Tesla, given the seemingly limitless demand for its products, could become one of the most valuable companies in the world. \u201cI\u2019m of the opinion that we can far exceed Apple\u2019s current market cap,\u201d he said. \u201cIn fact, I see a potential path for Tesla to be worth more than Apple and Saudi Aramco combined. That doesn\u2019t mean it will happen or will be easy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tesla\u2019s automotive revenue constituted a 55% increase from one year ago. The company expects to maintain 50% annual growth in vehicle deliveries across the span of several years.<\/p>\n<p>The world\u2019s richest man is also preparing to acquire Twitter after merger negotiations and legal proceedings that have lasted for several months. The social media platform had been fighting Musk in court over his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-purge-is-coming-twitter-explodes-after-elon-musk-tanks-44-billion-deal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attempt to cancel<\/a> a previous offer to buy the company for $44 billion, a move he said was driven by concerns that executives were underestimating the actual number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/heres-the-latest-in-the-elon-musk-twitter-legal-feud\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fake accounts<\/a> on the platform. Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-elon-musk-proposes-twitter-buyout-at-54-20-per-share-trading-halted-as-stock-price-soars\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revived<\/a> his efforts to purchase Twitter earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s an asset that has sort of languished for a long time but has incredible potential,\u201d Musk said on the earnings call. \u201cThe long-term potential for Twitter is an order of magnitude greater than its current value.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Beyond his concern about fake accounts, Musk has voiced criticism over lackluster support on Twitter for free expression.
