There&#8217;s just something deeply troubling about that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We know that the state health care plan does not provide for trans-affirming care,&#8221; she added. &#8220;This, frankly, is really a very dangerous time. Transgender adults are two times as likely than cisgender adults to have \u2013 be\u00a0diagnosed by depressive disorders.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/dem-key-senate-race-says-great-value-dismantling-justice-system-wants-eliminate-cash-bail\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>DEM IN KEY SENATE RACE SAYS THERE&#8217;S \u2018GREAT VALUE\u2019 IN DISMANTLING JUSTICE SYSTEM, WANTS TO ELIMINATE CASH BAIL<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Beasley asserted that &#8220;Transgender adults are significantly less likely to get their flu shots or go to doctor&#8217;s appointments&#8221; and that &#8220;half of transgender adults report experiencing some kind of physical assault or sexual assault.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s deeply difficult and dangerous,&#8221; she said. &#8220;We really must call out violence and stigmas for transgender women, particularly Black transgender women, and we absolutely must say her name.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> North Carolina Democratic Senate candidate Cheri Beasley speaks during her campaign rally with Sen.
