What would we do without her frequent words of wisdom? Today\u2019s word is \u201cschool bus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harris was doing an event where she was asked about the Inflation Reduction Act. She was asked one heck of a softball question with a lot of sucking up thrown in, \u201cWhat are some of parts of the Inflation Reduction Act \u2014 this amazing new law that you are most excited about?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now, it\u2019s the Inflation Reduction Act. So she\u2019s going to point to all the things it\u2019s going to do to help reduce inflation and help the American people, right? Not so much.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Kamala Harris has a particular fondness for school buses. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iB6EIT8BEH\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pic.twitter.com\/iB6EIT8BEH<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Townhall.com (@townhallcom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/townhallcom\/status\/1582760940537532416?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">October 19, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean so much, so much,\u201d Kamala said as she stalled for time to think. Then she looked down and checked her notes, then declared this wonder of wonders, \u201cI have a particular fondness, I must tell you, for electric school buses. I love electric school buses!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s so excited about it, she has to read from her notes. Come on, man. But what do electric school buses have to do with reducing inflation? Answer: nothing, because the Inflation Reduction Act isn\u2019t about reducing inflation. It\u2019s a fake name for a warmed-over Green New Deal-lite, and the spending on it is likely to increase inflation not reduce it.<\/p>\n<p>It also doesn\u2019t sound like the bus drivers are as in love with it as much as Kamala. Of course, they\u2019re not wedded to a silly political agenda, they care about practicality and what works.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">My wife is a school bus driver &#038; none of the drivers are excited about them. The battery range is just a bit longer than the average route. Drivers are concerned if there\u2019s a traffic accident &#038; the battery dies. Okay, so that\u2019s the thing they care about and that\u2019s what the Inflation Reduction Act is about, so Kamala should have something at the tip of her tongue.
